@@ifbfmto9338 i think it’s good. But what they do is intentionally lower these cards to make the +15 seem so good. They need to make it like +10 to 2 or 3 stats is the best boost for that team. And just make the overalls of the team better.
@@Disruptuer You can EASILY field a premier god squad level team, completely ignoring captain boosts That alone should highlight how irrelevant the gimmick is 95 percent of captain cards are utterly useless, non-competitive and ignored A tiny handful, more so by luck than anything else, are very useable, but again literally no captain card is necessary for a high level god squad team 🤷🏼♂️
@@ifbfmto9338 that’s not my point. I currently use the cover athlete team to boost an already good team. But what i meant was for teams like the monthly awards. They are purposefully worse because they take into account the captain boost. When the cards should just be better and the captain boost should only be + 5-10 in some stats. So it kills the usage of a specific card you want to use outside that team.

I love using theme teams. I use a Dodgers team. Will Smiths boost to players is great +15 Con L, +10 PWR L&R and +5 Clutch. It is great because a lot of the Dodger players were bad against lefty pitchers. Freddie Freeman, Trayce Thompson and Gavin Lux probably benefit the most from Will Smiths captain boost
Great video! If you wanna use hoffman there’s a common that you can put on your bench and he counts. Gives u an extra spot to use a closet like kenley or mo.
you'd be shivering your timbers if you ran into my brewers only theme team. pitching is not great but the lineup is actually really nice and more fun for me to use than any other squad. i think i'm 10-2 in ranked with it which isn't bad all things considered
They need to make easier for the avg player to assemble a captain squad team. Personally I'm only able to really assemble monthly award teams, randy johnson tall pitchers boost cause I bought that card, topps now and that's it. I wanna do a yankees boost but I dont have enough good yankees to make it work. The whitey ford boost I'd like to try but dont really have good yankees pitchers. I got All star captain cole, couple bullpen guys and that's it. Team affinity just takes so long and theres other cards that take a ton of grinding.
shoot at this point make it so the captains cards themselves get additional boosts on top of theirs depending on what tier it’s at. say tired 3 david wright also gives just himself plus +15 power L + R or something like that
Wasn't playing during the first 2 seasons so I don't have any of the really good captains. An ones like Rollins are going for nearly 200k. As a nms player that's not realistic for me.
Shouldn't team affinity be that you can actually use your favorite team and have them be a god squad. Captain's can be implemented through that, people would actually use these

The problem for me is theres a lot of specific cards you need for each build, so as a no money spent player with 9-5 its hard to field these teams
They need to just make the captain cards better statistically so more people are interested in using them

You should show the best team captain boosts… diamondbacks and twins are pretty good that I’ve used. Also reds dodgers
