Hi Lydia! Almost a year in with our short term rental near Disney. Do you have a process to check for major damage by clients? We just learned from a friend who stayed at our place that the box springs on our twin beds were completely broken. We had to replace them and we don't know how to recover the cost. We have a management company and I am surprised they don't check for this. I welcome any feedback and recommendations. Thanks! Kari
Hey Kari! Sounds like something your management company needs to be in charge of. Ask about their inspection process and how they go through each room and each drawer each cabinet to make sure it’s ready. If you are self managing remotely that’s different, but in this case you shouldn’t have to troubleshoot this yourself!
Hello 👋 In continuation to my earlier conversation regarding listing my property, i could finally do on airbnb & vrbo recently but kept calander blocked as final touches of the renovation was underway. Both listings were live for 2-3 weeks and then started the trouble! Airbnb delisted without any hint and i have been pursuing them for the past 5 days but unsuccessful in it. While their rep says everything is fine and asked me to relist but it was not going through. Then it was referred to some tech team up but no resolution since then! And in vrbo, they have a problem with bank account which was in the name of our LLP but they wants the account in the host's name only for which i appealed them to consider. Can you please share your thoughts on both the issues? Thanks in advance 🙏
Oh man I'm so sorry this sounds way more complicated than what I went through! For VRBO - we also just use our real name for the account. Airbnb wise, did they share the reason? Was it some algorithm that flagged on their end?

What platform do you use for home swapping? Do you have a video on that topic?
