The Makuta part should have been included, that was gold! Mask of Light just kind of dropped us into late 2003 without much (or any) background, minus Vakama's narrative at the beginning. It's cool to see it recapped by the Makuta we all know and love, versus the void Makuta in 2001.
I suppose they cut it because they figured being lectured to about the past seemed boring, especially that way. Plus, while the past lore is cool, the audience can follow this story just fine without it.
The second deleted scene shouldn’t be removed. It recounts on the Rahi and Borock threats that the Toa have over came; leading the Makuta only one solution to keep his brother Mata Nui asleep: Rakshi.
I agree, man. That should have been kept. I believe it would have been best to give the 2001 storyline a movie, so things would go smoothly in terms of direct-to-video movies. In fact, I believe each of all G1 story arcs should have had a direct-to-video movie (thought I feel it would be too many, so a TV show would make things more fluent).
@@jayglenn837 Yeah, they had it shifting around once or twice in the movie, having his mask fall off would have been an interesting bit of expanded lore reference. Maybe even a bit where Jaller jokes around with him like "At least you didn't leave it on the beach this time!"
I don’t understand why they removed these scenes. Especially the Makuta recap scene and Takua’s mask falling off. Those scenes provide the audience useful information.
2:10 if you wondered why the Rakshi were so difficult to defeat at first just look this scene shows how strong they are... well actually many Bionicle creatures either heroes or villans are stronger and more powerful than they look in the movies but I guess they have to tone down things.. like some times happen in star wars
0:52 I love Garhaak's pose, it's like he's saying "C'mon people, we're gonna need to listen up!" And at 2:16, we never got to see his power, only when he put his staff with Porhaak and Lerhaak, why did Lerhaak get the fun?! I LOVE GARHAAK SO MUCH!!!!!

Alumlovescake its a joke. Years ago someone asked Bionicle writer Greg Farshtey about love in the Bionicle universe. Obviously since it’s a kid forum they couldn’t say “Bionicle don’t have sex/ reproduce” so Greg said that love does not exist in the Bionicle universe.

Hmm... I always loved that unused Makuta scene and wished it got used, but I think introducing such an imposing and immortal villain with him weeping about his previous failed plans definitely would make him feel a bit worse
So, at least in the first deleted scene we got a better look at what a Tarakava and the Bohrok swarms looked like (other than what I assumed were Kohrok in one scene but I couldn't tell because of all the snow).
This film would've been better if had has an appearances and action scenes with not just the Rahkshi, but with the Bohrok, (their cousins) the Bohrok KaI, and Rahi foes. As well as longer and not so easy action fights.
One scene I don't understand why it's released it's 2:05 where we see Guurahk crushing the Kolhii ball. Actually, it's the directo(s) reason I don't understand for they judged this scene "too cruel". "So what ?" I want to respond. They're the bad guys, for crying out loud ! On the contrary, show us how Makuta and his Rahkshis are so cruel and mean that they destroy even what makes the Matoran's' entertainment and joy in order to set more fear and despair in their heart, to remind them who has the control of the island. Besides...This is too 'cruel" to watch a freaking ball getting crushed ? Brutal, okay but "cruel" ? I mean, it's not like they show us the Rahkshi killing an innocent Matoran, is it ? Also, anyone can tell me what it's supposed to be at 2:24 ?
I will not be, because there is no need to; "The Legend Reborn" can already be purchased in digital High Definition from Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, etc.
@@TheArrancar44 But the thing is, they've been shown without their masks in the comics and lost their masks a few times in the previous stories. The Rahi stole Kopaka's, and the Bohrok took Lewa's and replaced it with a Krana. Their faces are shown in promotional materials for the toy lines and even the animated comics and flash animations. Effectively, the films were the ONLY medium Bionicle was portrayed in where their faces beneath the masks were deliberately hidden. It was a silly move to act like their faces were some kind of mystery in the films, when they were anything BUT a mystery in all other media.
The lore reason for why we don't really see characters without their masks is because if a Matoran were to be without their mask, e.g. it got knocked off, they would quickly fall into a coma-like state. Their masks are what kept them functioning. [A Toa could last a while longer without their kanohi, iirc, but I might be wrong on that part.] Not to say that Bionicle has been ENTIRELY consistent with that idea... but, still. There was no real reason to show the characters without their kanohi. The masks were a huge part of Bionicle, they were *iconique~*. None of the characters lost theirs during the parts of the story the movies take place during. Not saying they didn't have to avoid showing what their faces looked like in the films, just that there really wasn't a point. I AM actually kinda curious as to what they would have looked like in the film's art style, though.

When Icarax tried to use the Brotherhood’s armies to carry out his plans in direct defiance of him, Teridax faced him personally. Rather than simply fighting him, however, he simply let Icarax strike him with everything he had without even trying to defend himself, knowing he wasn’t strong enough to destroy him. I also would have liked to see the scene with Takua's mask completely falling off, since in lore it never fit right on him.
In a narrated version of this, the directors said that the scene with Makuta was cut as they felt it was giving away too much too soon.
