Interesting that Syd got to watch the documentary on his life on the BBC...didn't like it though? .. too noisy?? It had to confuse him, the continued interest... It had been so long ago in his life, and after contact with Mick Rock (signing his book as "Barrett" ) ..I don't think he kept in touch with the Cambridge crowd after signing slips for Mick..
Every band needs someone like that... Sometimes band members let them get away with too much, give a inch take a mile comes to mind. He's like a lot of leftists... Control is more important to them than anything else.
Yeah, disagree on the whole Syd was a genius. He was the good-looking artistic kid who sort of played guitar and dabbled in music. His thing was pretty much he got ahold of lsd and it tore him apart. The rest of the band made a career writing about it. Absolutely no slam on Mr. Roger Barrett.
The Edginton interviews regarding Barrett are by far the best out there.
Good stuff! Love his Robyn dvd

Great interview. Syd was a genius. Floyd was amazing. They are their own genre. They have no peer. Why does Waters always have to be an ass?
