    Entertainment is good for TV Realities/Sitcoms. What I saw is informative and welcomed. It takes uncertainty from my DIM (Do it Myself) projects! Thanks for keeping the "drama" out.

    Really, you couldn’t start with a crappy car, had to molest a nice one ?😢

    • @ClassicCarStudio

      Just because it's a complete car with decent paint does not mean it's a nice car. Did you see the condition of the floors we cut out of this thing (around 3:48)? On custom builds we start with the best restoration candidate we can find, unless the specific car has sentimental value. Rust repair is incredibly labor intensive and therefore expensive. Who wants to spend $30k on rust repair if they can avoid it? This car started out as a plain-jane, non original driveline '70 Mustang, and trust me, every car looks much nicer on video than in real life, including this one. Floors weren't important to us on the donor since we knew we'd be cutting them out for the chassis anyway. And all of the stuff we took off of this car that we can't use (driveline, interior, etc.) gets sold to other people for their projects / builds.

      Start with the best you can find saves money and time in the end

    • @ClassicCarStudio
      @ClassicCarStudio  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Greg is right. It’ll cost the customer more in the long run if you buy a rotted out or wrecked donor vehicle. It takes a lot of extra hours replacing rust and straightening a body.
