G,day Ian, this is Guy from Australia, we love your work ethic and what you create. You are a big inspiration to many like minded people. Happy that we get you on this site now, cheers.
I love them all Falcons. I really love the van a lot of people don’t like the falcon Ranchero‘s. They like the regular ones but I like the falcon rancheros to
Hi ho ian, geoff from aussie,we loved your tv show and your dog not to mention your work.we a ard falconeers down here, beautiful the early models, you,d like our late model ones built in aussie, good drivers, reliable, but not built anymore for a few years now.glad your on you tube cheers respect.
Back around 1972 I took a job near a small town as a repair welder in a gravel pit. I made friends with a few of the locals and one of those fellows had a Falcon Van that could have been a twin to the one shown here. We were out and about on Friday night and admittedly is was an alcohol fueled venture. There were three of us in the van and I was sitting on the engine cover. The fellow who was driving made the decision that it would be a blast to burn some donuts in the centre of town. The first few came off without any fanfare but then he decided that he would giver an extra hard try intent on really lighting it up. So he hammered the power, dropped the clutch, and cranked her hard right. It didn't go well. You see I slid off the engine cover into his lap and he lost control. The upshot was we took out the only set of gas pumps in town. Now it as very late and there was no one around so we left poste haste and the van was hidden away in a barn. Next day there was a lot of conjecture about what had happened but the general consensus was it had been done by hooligans from the next town over. The station was repaired under insurance and everything appeared to be going along just fine. That it until the owner of the station appeared at my buddies door one Sunday morning asking for his $500.00 deductible. Seems he had been sitting in another car too drunk to drive and he had watched the entire performance. The only reason he hadn't said anything is he wanted new pumps since his were literally antiques. My two buddies and I divvied up the $500 and paid the man. Nothing else was ever said.........
I had watch tons of restauration videos but this dude is a real unique man who fully understand how to turn a pile of shit into a stable golden construction, all with focus on modern, extreme stable conditions!
Had one don't remember the year, Same body Style, A Station Wagon, had been rebuilt at one stage, Three speed manual floor shift. Drove it everywhere around Brissy till someone T-Boned me whilst running a stop sign.
Actually, its Falcon came in originally in 1960, and 61 Falcon came out. Mustang it came out afterward, and they built Mustang. That why most states, when they have Back To The 50s they have rejected Mustang in their shows for. Because of that, Falcon came out first before Mustang. So actually, the Mustang is on the same chassis as well as where for the Falcon is on.
Maybe a better layout … use a piano hinge for the table top attaching it to the drivers side vehicle wall . Make 2-3 small movable chairs that can be stacked and secured when not in use . Having open utilitarian space maybe a better layout . 36:3336:35
I have really enjoyed this series of your work on the Falcons. I have always liked the Falcon pickup and the Falcon Two Door Hardtop with a Small V* engine. What motor did you put in the Falcon Pickup. I was not clear to me. Keep on Truckin!
ford australia have had 9 inch diffs for a long time i have the last falcon made in the vans id love to put a 9 inch diff in it (1998 H model ) 4 litre 6 cylinder fuel injected power steering and 4 wheel disk brakes it was called a Longreach
Ian didn't use some other car junk but a brand new "kit"? Who is this guy and what did he do with Ian? I've wanted the truck version of the falcon van, but these vans are 'unsafe at any speed', there is ZERO crash protection.
I've never understood the appeal of these shows where they talk and talk and do just a bit of work and then talk more. They seem to be popular so I guess I'm in the minority when I say, "Just do the work and teach us."
Love this show. But cannot stomach Ian’s other TH-cam show with his wife. It moves too slowly too much personal information about their relationship. And it’s just weird. telling you how I feel. I don’t want to discourage anyone. consider this just one date point.
You’re incredibly talented Ian…. Stay safe!

The 64/65 Falcon has been my all time favorite car since the late 60’s, the Ranchero version makes it even better…. I’m so jealous 🤩
Ian has real skills, but he cracks me up because he is in love with HIMSELF!😄
Ian's a metal forming guru.!!
Awesome job also nice to see the inspector again ❤
I love them all Falcons. I really love the van a lot of people don’t like the falcon Ranchero‘s. They like the regular ones but I like the falcon rancheros to
Ian is a master at finishing what he visualizes

Ian is a legend. This one is mild but still learning stuff.
Rather ingenious, using various parts and pieces in your making of a cool ride.
Top man grate to watch

Had one of those in 1974. Lived in California, sold it when I left the state.
With I still had it.
Wonder how many people know that a falcon is really a mustang at heart
Or, from a two Falcon owner, the heart of a mustang is just a Falcon.
Actually, its Falcon came in originally in 1960, and 61 Falcon came out. Mustang it came out afterward, and they built Mustang. That why most states, when they have Back To The 50s they have rejected Mustang in their shows for. Because of that, Falcon came out first before Mustang. Yep. My '64.5 Mustang is basically the same. My dad and I took the frame work off of my dash for the dash pad. Guess what? It's just like a Falcon.
The mustang was built on the Falcon unibody platform.
It’s the other way around
El inspector revisa todo el trabajo, jeje.
Fun fact: the coupe utility body style was actually first released by Ford Australia in 1934 and make awesome hotrods
The Navy bought many of these as crew transport vans, for flight crews, back in the day.
did you know that falcons were sold in Australia from 1960 until 2016?

Something tells me TCI is going to get a lot of orders for this setup after watching this video
That Ford van was called a Ford Commer, in Australia and in England.
England BEDFORD
@@James-ik8yz Nope, we also had Bedfords in Australia, as well as Commers. They looked different.
we had these in AustraliIan, they are collector cars now that fetch 6 figures
Yeah I had one when I was younger 30 years ago they only cost $6000 now they are hard to find for sale.
....EST GENIO E O CARA
SABE TUD DE CARRO

Boat seats would have been cool.

Old sckool beats new sckool any day

Older vehicles were built differently from modern cars which doesn't last like older cars

At 38:08… the right hand weld….shame on you! Wtf is that? 🤬
Where's part 2???
If the side view mirrors are round then it is a 60's model
I believe that they are called Rancheros not Falcons.
Falcon ranchero just like Falcon econoline. Just names for sub models. Look underneath and I believe same unibody was used for the pan.
@js7127 so the mustang should be called falcon stang ??
dwight getting carried away again….lol

Very similar to the “boomer “exploding gM square body pickup, shame on gM for producing such a lame product
