Loved Capt. Block's reactions all throughout the episode. And I was so glad Officer Toody managed to do a good job in the end of helping to round up the crooks! I also love the intro and outro music and miss those old commercials. (I grew up near NYC and was seven when this show was broadcast.)
Thanks for posting this, very nice show, one of the best Joe Ross episodes Toody's Gang, reactions of Capt. Block very hilarious (he yelled cops!!!), also the bad guys with the slap in the face, I what about the inclusion of Bruce Gordon (Frank Nitty from the untochables) great actor doing comedy. No need to mention Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis. Regards from Mexico.
This WAS ONE OF THE funniest COMEDY SHOWS in THE 1960s AND Mc HALES NAVY WAS ANOTHER COMEDY SHOW with Tim CONWAY WHO WAS ensen PARKER WHO WAS in THE CAROL BERNET SHOW with HARVEY CORMAN AND UNFORTUNATELY Tim CONWAY died in 2000 AND 19 AND JOE FLYNN AS captain Binghamton DROWNED in his swimming pool AND ERNEST Borgnine AS THE skipper WAS A GREAT ACTOR REST in PEACE Tim CONWAY AND JOE FLYNN YOU WERE GREAT COMEDY ACTORS 😔
Brilliant . I've seen a few of these and this episode for the first time it's so funny if only this was on mainstream TV again cos were missing the brilliance of yesteryear
The actor who played Patsy, played Harvey in an episode from “The Honeymooners!” That episode was “The Bensonhurst Bomber!” Harvey????? Ohhhhh Harvey!!! 😂😂😂
Very funny tv 📺📺📺Series Well written all actors on top form never tire of watching its outstanding comedy Even when the head policeman says toody the crooks must never suspect your a police officer and his captain Says thats simple let him wear his uniform 😊😊😊
@@nlknok77 True, they never replay this anymore !! This is like Honeymooners type of humor or on that level. Love seeing NY back then too, the cars buildings, uniforms, cool !!
That’s what I call 'robbing a bank.’ Brilliant comedy: so many surprises, twists in the plot and unexpected developments. I especially love these old comedies, because there is no wasting of time with unnecessary dialogue and overly long shots. 90 minutes can be condensed into a half hour show with a good script and director.
Thanks for posting these. I believe this episode is called Toody Undercover. White Elephant is the one where the crooks buy a diner to drill into the bank next door (according to Wikipedia).
This is a great clean series, and the old school advertisements are classic. Like Tide and Gleam that is still sold now a days. I personally use Tide. Why do I wash in Tide? Because there are no washing machines out Tide. Bwahahaha!!!!!! Made that joke up in the mid 1980's.
My Cab number 54, I had no idea why a very small group of people used to say Car 54 where are you, well I guess I'm youtube watching another great show lol
Barry I. Grauman Proctor & Gamble had “Zest”, the best soap in the world, and changed the formula by putting in tocopherol (vitamin E). It removed body oils and rinsed so well, I heard that the USN used it in their submarines to save water.
Barry I. Grauman Zest, Proctor & Gambles’ Best soap was sold to High Ridge Brands after they changed the formula. Perhaps some reverse engineering will bring the Original Formula back.
I watch Car 54 every night when I was a kid, how about Gerry Vandykes, My Mother the Car? I like that show the best . up to 2005 I was building a 26-27 T Ford touring, still have it, red and has front lights that turn. I would love to show some pics on here of it.
FRED GWYNNE ONE OF THE MOST SEXY MEN IN HOLLYWOOD MY GERMAN SHEPARD AND HIM HAVE A REMARKABLE RESEMBLANCE I ALWAYS JOKE THAT ILL PUT THERE PICS SIDE BY SIDE SEE WHAT PEOPLE THINK HE'S GOT TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE MEN TALL SENSITIVE BEAUTIFUL VOICE I COULD FALL IN LOVE R.I.P. At 21:46 there was something about the way that man talked, his voice that made me think I recognized him. It took a minute, but that is Barney Martin, who played Seinfeld's dad!!

Are you talking about the one with the new recruits? Its called How Smart Can You Get. If so that one is on YT in 2 parts. The complete list of episodes is on the imdb website.

Talk about redemption and gaining the Captain’s confidence, Toody did it and that was “Beautiful! Beautiful!” 😂😂😂😂
Love it! ❤ To see some of the characters from The Untouchables! .......and the slapping routine!! 😂
Absolutely brilliant. Nat Hiken was a genius. Between Car 54 and Bilko best humour ever.

Thank you for putting these on U Tube they are all great and bring back priceless memories.
Thank you for uploading. I remember watching these programs with my father we used to laugh so hard.
These are even funnier now as an adult than I remember as a kid. Thank you for sharing these shows.
The humor is actually a bit too advanced for 10 year olds. I thought the same thing.
I just found it and am hooked!
It must have been rerun during the 80s because I remember this show. I haven't laughed as hard I did to tv shows in a long time.
Sure just like Batman, you get the jokes now.
@@nlknok77 True, they never replay this anymore !! This is like Honeymooners type of humor or on that level. Love seeing NY back then too, the cars buildings, uniforms, cool !!
More slapping in this one than a hundred Three Stooges films!

He was a sergeant called the beast with Bilco
Loved this show.
I'm just old enough to remember when "Prell" came in very breakable glass bottles.
Me too. It still smells great & they took the burn out of the formula so if you get it in your eyes it's not so horrible. 😅
This is not "The White Elephant." This is "Toody Undercover."
you're right!!!
Yes you're right. But I haven't been able to find the episode "white elephant" anywhere... it'd be nice if someone could upload it..
Rimpu Dhillon I second that! It’s one of my favorite episodes.
yes so right I was about to say that
Danks
That was funny. Thanks.
Procter & Gamble sponsored the series during its original NBC run (1961-'63); Carl Caruso was the sponsor I.D. announcer.

"Shaaaadup."
What a great team !
This is my favorite episode. This one and the one where Toodie gets the abstract painting. This show was great.
I laughed for days when Schnauzer won the painting and said it was a Tonsil operation. 😄

Fred Gwynne did the voice overs for the commercials at the end of this episode!
Much better tv from MUCH better times! :)
Very Old Classic 😎
Granpa Al Lewis is one of the uniformed cops!!
And he and Fred Gwynne worked together again 😋
and he said harvey was a FUNNY NAME!
Yep! That's him! And his little partner, Al Nesor, played "Evil-eye Fleagle" in the film "Li'l Abner".
This is one of the funniest episodes they made!
🎉 masa depan mereka. 0:48 ❤ save this country 🎉 1:18 next
At 21:59 Bruce Gordon says, "Knock off Fort Knox!".
Funny, I seem to remember another movie gangster saying that in a certain film made in 1964!!
Sounds like Fred Gwynne’s voice during the commercial at the end of the video.
this is actually the episode Toody undercover!, not The White Elephant!
Cops he said cops
Ycar 54 nt seen this since I was a kid at Hainault. When I was 7. 50 years ago. Cool.
Am meeting up with Hank Garrett (Officer Ed Nicholson) next month in the Los Angeles area. He is putting out a book.
Isn't that "Grampa" from the Munsters next to Fred at 8:03?

After Captain Block told Toody to repeat "The 3rd National Bank", he should have also had him write it down.
I think Toody could still have blown it
It even has Al Lewis, Grandpa from "The Munsters"
I can't believe it...I swear I was thinking about this episode...😂😂

The 60+ thumbs downers are crazy. This episode was absolutely hilarious!
The face slapping had me in stitches🤣
One of the thumbs down is mine and its there because of the annoying poxy unskippable irritating unwanted ads ONLY
👍🏿
"Chief!! He called me Chief!!!"
