      Hi. It may be the caps, but may b a short. Hard to tell without taking measurments.
      One thing you can do without taking it apart is measure if on the input from mains between live and neutral you have resistance. Other than that you would need to open it and measure output resistance and then voltage coming from power supply board.

    I have one!! Romanian made T220 comes with original Samsung matrix, others non-romanian assembled T220 comes with one of chinese made matrix (AUO, CMO or CPT). Actually, is one of the best TN-based monitors (if not the BEST one!!), colors are just GREAT!!

      Yeah I'm not that active lately... plenty of personal stuff happening. But I will of course. I have 5 cats at the moment 😁

    Hello, friend! I have this same monitor and I also love it, lmao!
    I keep replacing these faulty capacitors for a couple of years now. The problem is that I've just being dumb during the last replacement and I cut a white wire of the white conector that goes right next to the black power conector (it has 4 white wires and a black one). Do you have any idea how can I fix it? I thought about soldering the wire but it is really small and I have just a regular soldering iron. I also couldn't find the name of this conector so I could buy another one, cut all wires and crimp it again. Thank you so much for your time reading this, I'm kinda desperate to fix it!

      Ok, so I couldn't wait any longer and tried to solder the broken wire again. It actually worked, I can't believe it.....

    I got the same model. It does not turn on at all. How did you know that the capacitor you replaced was not working anymore?

    • @DIYRepairHour
      @DIYRepairHour  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi :)
      Those not working are visibly bulged. You need to open the monitor and just take a look.
      After removing capacitor you can confirm ESR and capacitance.

    How did you open it? I am struggling to open.

    • @DIYRepairHour
      @DIYRepairHour  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does have plastic clips all around the monitor. I was struggling as well, but opened it with a prying tool.
      I assume you took out the bolts?

  • @mysticjaarse

    Should I also try to replace the same capacitor you took out? will it work?

      First you need to take a look and see in what condition those are, it may be obvious once you do

    Hello! How to turn this monitor on???

    • @DIYRepairHour
      @DIYRepairHour  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It has a touch panel on the front bezel, right bottom corner.
      When the decals are worn it's really a "poking in random places" game to turn it on.

      @@DIYRepairHour Do you mean I need touch the finger to the bottom which is in right corner, right? I touched but the monitor did not on(

      @@burmixmixa assuming your monitor is working... try and find a picture of a new one on the net to see where the power button is. The area that will respond to the touch is not very large.
