Poor design hell, crooked design. They know people will toss half the can and buy a new one next time. Dirty tactics. I'm just going to buy 40 on Amazon for like 5 bucks, fuck em.
The design is made so the company keeps on selling cans. As someone pointed out, the company wised up to these DIY videos and now makes the nozzle not able to be separated
Thank you...I'm just getting ready to use some for a project and only need a small amount. Decided to find out how to save the rest this is definitely helpful 🙂👍🏽Thanks again 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
how many reuses have you been able to get out of a can of Great stuff? And for how many days or weeks or months have you been able to continue to re-use the can of Great Stuff for? Have you ever had it block up even after using acetone in the valve?
Spray WD40 through the tube and in the nozzle when you want to put it away. No need to disassemble anything other than taking the tube off of the nozzle. It works, I’ve actually done this and reused the foam filler.
mine is still dribbling out even after clearing out the can side of the tube. Thing is still full. Haven't reached the acceptance stage of throwing it out yet
Thanks for this. The instruction say bend the straw back on itself or some nonsense I suspect they are vague as they want you to throw away and buy again. Wire coat hanger is what I used let's hope it works
What if I can't remove the nozzle, got the straw part off the other is stuff on? It's been weeks. I'm determined yet also pissed off. Love/Hate relationship with this not so great great stuff.
They made sure to add "Restarting not guaranteed" as a disclaimer on the can. I had to use a microscope to read it. Love the product tho. Thanks for the video!
If you go online you can by extra straws. Amazon has them and they are very cheep. Much easier just to throw away old straw and replace with new. Don't get this stuff on skin or eyes. Don't touch straw until completely dry. Shake the can for at least 60 secs before use. Just leave the straw on can until completely dry. Pull the excess out of end of straw and reuse.
That was helpful, but what a poor design on their part, I've thrown away many almost full cans, but this tip will help...Thanks

Thanks very much for posting this help. Saves us a lot of wasted product !
I just pour acetone through the tube, cleans instantly also into the valve.

Thank you!! That was very helpful. Not sure why they designed the can the way they did. I will try this out today.
Very cool!
Thanks for the "how to".
Very helpful, thank you!
Break clean works exceptionally well
Thanks. This was very helpful! The product is great. Clean up and reuse, not so much til now.
haha... yes, and thx for watching so many videos in a roll :)

After that, does it all just run out? Or do you stick in a pipe cleaner or something?
And when the can is clogged?
This video is some great stuff 👍
Thanks for the Lesson.

Great. I needed this.
how did you stick the straw back on the trigger part? hmmm?

to pull hardened foam out, easiest is to use different size screws. Also it melts with acetone, as 100 people told already :)
DIY Tinker idea, or the cost of Acetone and disposal of a solvent?
The Walmart brand does not seem to react the same to acetone... Wonder about Locktite brand?
Many thanks!
Great stuff here thanks !

Thank you!
thanks, great job...
Great stuff has a new (grey) nozzle that defies easy removal and cleaning. I ended up throwing away 2/3 of a can. Any tips?
Great Stuff. thanks
Thank you dear
awesome thank you!
Woo, whoo! Thanks.
Thank you
The can valve still remains blocked up.
Anyone solve for that yet?
😲Ty 4 the help
I didn't have wire or acetone so I used a juice box straw on both sides
Amazing
great Thanks
Great
Kool!✊😁
I use acetone nail polish remover and put a few drops in the straw. But this seems less messy. Thanks for the video.
An easier way is after you're done take a can of brake cleaner and put the straw on and clean out everything, works like a dream.
I did the same thing and worked great!
SlurpJ brake cleaner isnt exactly "easy" on your environment and biology tho

great ideas. now how to get it off my hands...
Sandi Remson acetone nail polish remover
perfect.
Goo gone melts it away!
👍

T😅%
Mine didn’t work that way
easier way is to just use acetone
who'dathunkit? Great job. thank you
Use acetone. It cleans it easliy
really great idea, but now they make the straw so that it doesn't detach but simply snaps off. 😠
They should simply sell extra nozzles.
just run acetone or laquer thinner through it
+Lone Wolf I good solution if you don't have it in hand, like in my case
That what she said.
I'm stupid. I did not know the straw came apart. Thanks

Now I don't need to throw away my spray
And it still doesn't work.
Why dont' they just give you 2-3 applicators when you buy a can? Stupid of them....
Because they want you to buy more and more, and more, and more.
Great stuff, shitty nozzle
It literally tells you on the side of the can what to do. This is excessive and pointless. Read the instructions and go feel like an idiot....
its alotta work, when i buy a can i make a list of everything and kill it, you make it like 3rd world country i refuse to work like that
Now I know
