Check out my original review -th-cam.com/video/DhRpd7-uydg/w-d-xo.html I purchased a Relyon Luxury Silk 2850 Pillow Top Mattress in the end and I have no regrets.
I’ve got 2 simba mattresses, a hybrid standard one and the hybrid pro. The hybrid pro is much thicker and firmer. Extremely comfortable and very sturdy. I find it comfortable and I am side sleeper of average weight. The hybrid standard mattress is a lot softer and more like being on a cushion of air. Although only a double, you can sleep right on the edge in comfort so the bed feels bigger. Personally I would buy the standard mattress over the pro as it’s cheaper and equally if not more comfy. Both are the best mattresses I have owned though.
If its comes in a bag its gonna sag! Buy a mattress, any mattress, that doesn't come rolled up and always go a firmness higher and in pocket springs, even if it also has memory foam. Vac pack affects the foams and the springs so even cheaper vac packed mattresses are worse as they've usually been like that for even longer in storage.
Mine has been negative i have had 2 of the mattresses and both were terrible the ridge in the middle has caused me so much pain i even had CT scan last week because i thoght something else must be wrong the stress has been awful.. I did a second review on trustpilot and simba got back in touch so am going through the process of trying to get this resolved after all this pain i didnt realise a bad bed could cause this much suffering> I have ordered a new mattress Hypnos I hope this will help at the moment we flipped the whole simba bed over and my pain has stopped 4 days in its really firm and does not sink in i wish i had tried this years ago. people do need to be informed duty of care before they sell products to customers.
Hi, Vanessa, thank you for sharing this. I was about to buy a Simba and found you in the research. I have the same problem as you,. Are you happy by purchasing a Relyon Luxury Silk 2850 Pillow Top Mattress?
Bought a Simba 2 years ago, get up with back and hip pain and feel now like I'm sleeping in a hammock. We have a double and if you move to middle, seems like you are climbing a mountain. It's gone so soft. I have now ordered a proper Hypnos pocket sprung mattress.
Your experience is very similar to mine. Its funny you say its geared towards heavier side sleeping people? I'm an overweight side sleeper and the Simba Hybrid is the worst matress I've ever slept on. Like you it was great for the first 60 days but latterly I experienced unbearable back pain like never before. Ultimately the reason its not for all is because its made from foam and foam deteriorates over time especially if you're heavy. I now have a traditional matress (not in a box and not made of foam) and already I can feel the difference.
No I haven't tried a nectar mattress before I got a Relyon Luxury Silk 2850 Pillow Top Mattress in the end and I have no regrets. I get back pains here and there but not because of my bed.
Hi I just ordered my dad one, and unlike you his first night he said he was warm, and he felt like the springs were digging in, so it doesn't sound promising, he just returned a Nectar, which never worked out, and I had the Nectar as well, and we both had back pain, we kept it for just under the year so we gave it a good go, but it just wasn't for either of us. So my dad went back to his old mattress, which was in his spare room, and currently I'm on my couch lol, so as I said we got a Simba for my dad first, and after him being back on his old lumpy mattress, I thought it would be night and day with the Simba, sadly it's not so far, So as I said I'm on my couch, and believe it or not I don't wake up as sore as I did with the Nectar. I really do need a bed though but not going to go for the Simba, so sorry for the long winded explanation, but I'm just like you I have lower back pain, and hip, I sleep on my side not my back, but I'm a restless sleeper I toss and turn, so no pun intended but I actually don't know where to turn now, and what bed to go for, I'm starting to think that memory foam is not for me nor my dad, and I would be really interested to know what kind of bed you are going to opt for now after doing your research, Thanks.
Hi Stephen, I totally understand the struggle - I got a Reylon Luxury Silk 2850 instead. I still get back pain here and there but not much plus I started exercising and getting fitter to help with my joint pain which has been helpful.
@@VanessaSpeakss Thanks for the reply, I've been working out, on and off for years lol just turned 50 now and I'm sore if I don't work out and sore when I do, so might as well get the benefits. I might try the eve mattress, they've got a new pocket spring one, but I'm a bit like you I don't know if it's me or the mattress lol, I'm kind of regretting ever using memory foam lol, I can remember all the fuss back when I was in my thirties I think, and I got my first one, then I tried going back to ordinary spring and I just couldn't fall asleep on it, so I had to buy a topper, I think once you've had that little later of comfort on top it's hard to go back to something firmer lol.
Just ordered one , hoping it is better for me than current mattress as heard many positive reviews on it with back pain. Hopefully I don't have same experience you had but I guess I can always return it, I have fractured spine in 4 places last year and have 2 slipped discs so I'm just hoping this helps me sleep better if not I guess I'll have to look at other mattresses
Thank you for taking the time to reply, I also just checked that simba have redesigned their mattress and swapped the foam to spring so I will see when it arrives :-)
@@roz5009 hey yes I got a full refund and they arranged a collection for free but it worked out smoothly because I got it directly from Simba and not a third party company

So what did you buy instead that suited side sleeping? That would be useful to know 👍🏻

But could you please let us know what is the best option for side sleepers?

The solution costs £30 a month. The solution isn’t a £1000 mattress.
Have you tried the nectar msttress ad i am thinking to get a good bed for back pain as well?

Rotate often or can get dips in mattresses
