Synopsis:
In this touching family drama, Kacie Lewis (Allie Deberry) is a rebellious 17-yr-old girl who is struggling with guilt and anger after witnessing the death of her younger brother. When Kacie is arrested and sentenced to a work-release program at Spirit Riders, an equine therapy camp for disabled and physically challenged youths she finds herself out of her element and having trouble adjusting to the rules. She finds a kindred spirit in Blaze, a retired racehorse having difficulty adjusting to his new domesticated life. Under the guidance of Rex (Lance Henriksen), the no-nonsense owner of the ranch, Kacie helps re-train Blaze and in the process learns to let go of the past forgive and set her spirit free.

"I admit - it was my curiosity of seeing veteran actors Lance Henriksen ("Aliens) and C. Thomas Howell ("The Outsiders") on screen again that initially made me pick up a copy of "Spirit Riders." But what I actually found was a great little family movie that I enjoyed throughout.
"Spirit Riders" is an uplifting story of second chances that takes place at a horse therapy ranch. When troubled teen Kacie (very well played by actress Allie DeBerry from the Disney Channel series, "A.N.T. Farm") is ordered by the court to work at the Spirit Riders ranch, she tries to get her life back on track while helping a stubborn, retired racehorse re-acclimate to life off track.
The story is simple enough to appeal to kids, yet offers a fresh take on the typical bad-teen-gone-good movie that will hold parents' attentions, too. The cast of young talent did a great job and really held their own against the pros!
A great family-friendly DVD. Definitely worth checking out."

Horses are Beautiful. I know they are in Heaven. The Holy Bible speaks of them. I always wanted one or some... I'm 61. I would still love to have one.

A blind deaf person could of caught these two at the beginning
Without own benifets here people never do anything for others
There were good elements in this, but lots of unfinished, unsatisfying elements too. Totally showed a devaluing of her Mom and never righted that. Her Dad was absent and then at the end she pushed aside her mother to go connect with her Dad. They never valued that woman
The mom was having a smoke on the side while the daughter was pumped about her new horse. It's all good.
Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation.
This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.

Enjoyed the movie, but what ever happened to modesty to what a young woman wears in a Christian movie.
