    The '20-'24 Ninja 650 is a great first bike, and all-around bike at any point too, agreed. This bike can also catch a rider off guard if they quickly fully open the throttle at lower speeds. It'll either lift up a bit or take off pretty fast to the point you have to hang on if not leg-holding the tank. But also very comfortable. Great on fuel, 4 gallons range of 200 miles with .2 spare. 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds, and fast enough to get a rider into big trouble if not careful. A great motorcycle!

    I bought this exact bike back in April of this year. It is my fifth bike after taking about a 13 year break. I bought a 2020 Ninja 650 brand new as my first bike. I had literally zero experience other than what I learned off some TH-cam videos. The salesman delivered the bike to my house and my journey began. It was a great first bike and I would recommend it to anyone learning to ride. It's such an easy bike to ride, plenty of power to learn on and still have fun, but can still get you into some trouble if you aren't careful. Sold her in December and picked up a 2023 Z900 which is a whole new animal. Part of me still misses the 650 though.
    Good video and great choice in a first bike! Ride safe.

      @cycle-98 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice man. What’s your experience with wind resistance at highway speeds? Did the ninja block wind a lot better than your z900? I just got a z650rs a couple weeks ago and I love it. But you can really feel that wind blasting you at high speeds 😂

    • @lNickHD
      @lNickHD ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cycle-98 Still doing the break in on the z900. Only about 200 miles on it at the moment due to poor weather, but I took it out on the highway once. Got up to about 85mph and the wind was tolerable, but you definitely feel it. I'm a taller rider at about 6ft4 so even the Ninja 650 with an aftermarket PUIG windscreen only deflected so much wind. It was slightly better than the Z because of the windscreen. The wind would hit my neck/head instead of my chest.

    Im an older guy but newer rider still on a Ninja 300. I read and saw so many reviews of the N650 but get a little frustrated when people call it a beginner bike. This will be my forever type of bike and feel it has everything anyone could NEED: Comfort, affordability, good mpgs, light, fast enough, good for city but also some touring (with a higher windscreen). Tell me I'm wrong.

      @@mannybrar7501 I would agree with you on a lot of that. Honestly after having this bike for almost 2 seasons now (17k miles) I would say I’m still not bored.
      I think when people say they “get bored “ what they are really saying is I wanna go fast faster. Not much skill in that.
      I do want a bigger bike now but only because I tour with my 650. The bike performs perfectly and I only start getting sore after hr 6 and that could be just cuz of riding for that long.
      It does vibrate and I can see how the 1000sx would be nicer because it’s an inline 4.
      But you’re right. I do think someone could get this bike and be completely satisfied for a very long time.
      The bike is perfect in so many different ways. Absolutely love my 650 and if I do get another bike I Will keep this bike for sure.

    First off, great job on the video! Pro quality video perfect audio nice intro smooth editing really nailed it out the gate. I have the 2022 Ninja 650 abs have put on a little over 2k miles by now and am really happy with it so far. It’s not fastest but its so comfortable and a great all around bike. I don’t know if I’m the only one that does this but sometimes on long rides I’ll even kick my feet back to the passenger pegs to switch up my ass and leg position for a bit. 😅 First thing I did was a tail tidy then just replaced the back seat with a rear seat cowl and man, it really made the bike look sporty. It was expensive because you have to go with the Kawasaki one or the colors won’t match but its worth it!
    Btw you could shut off the tach flashing in the settings. It’s there to remind you of break in but for me got annoying quick. Good luck with your future videos your off to a hell of a start!

    Maybe you can help me man 😩 trying my best man

    • @CityNinja650
      @CityNinja650  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I made a video about riding in the heavy wind that actually goes over body position as well as windy weather tips. I can definitely make one specific to body position. I’ll film it today and put it on the fast track.
      As far as lain position I was always told and saw to say on the outsides like you mentioned.
      I was watching Dan Dan the fireman and he specifically said he always rides middle.
      So maybe riding in the middle all the time isn’t so bad? Idk. Definitely don’t wanna ride the middle in the rain but maybe it’s ok to in regular rides. I still don’t only because I got so accustomed to the outsides. But as far as windy weather goes and lain position you be where you are comfortable. These bikes can get blown around so it might be best to be in the middle of the road.
      Body position if we start from bottom up goes like this.
      * balls of your feet on peg (not heel). Some may say to always cover the rear break I personally don’t.
      Have your feet close to the bike. There is a little silver guard. I like to have my feet up against the bike.
      * legs tucked and squeezing the tank. Not hard or like a death grip but enough to support your body and take pressure and weight from your hands.
      * hands should be gripping the handles but not white knuckling it. You should also not feel a lot of pushing pressure. Like if your body was leaning over and all your weight in on your hands.
      That’s why it’s important to have feet and legs tight to support your body.
      * arms I always have bowed inward. (I’ll make the video to better illustrate). You definitely don’t want your arms locked out. That cuts circulation as well as prevent movement for emergencies.
      * body should be pretty upright. That’s the ergonomics of the 650 anyways. Super comfortable.
      * I also like to sit with a knuckle distance on the seat. Basically scoot back a little on the seat. Not right up on the tank.
      I hope this helps a little. I will make a new video about this tho and hopefully it helps even more

      I rode that BMW GS1300 or whatever it is. (Super tall bike)
      I fell in love with tall bikes right then. I would love to get a Verseys 1000 as my second bike.
      I blew them off because I didn’t like how they looked and the time and because I thought a tall bike would be harder for a beginner.
      If you really wanna do long rides with luggage and all that I would go for the versys. I love my 650 and have taken it on super long runs. It works well for me but I can see where the versys would be better.
      I also at the time didn’t know what kind of rider I am. Turns out I like touring lol.
      Ninja is a fantastic commuter and general riding bike. Definitely fun in streets, back roads, interstates and more. Super comfortable (I think).

    What is your height cm ? What is max height you think, for this motorbike?

    • @CityNinja650
      @CityNinja650  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Total hight I’m 182 cm. My legs only get cramps (a very little bit) after being on a long ride over 4hrs.
      Maybe anything over 188 cm you might start noticing but I’m not to sure. Different riding pants will definitely affect that too.
      When I wear my larger pants it seems to bunch up a little in the back of the knees.

    this or ninja 400? for beginners

    • @CityNinja650
      @CityNinja650  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think both are good for beginners. I went with this because it’s more comfortable and has more power which I need due to the major highways and interstates. Plus I wanna take it cross country

      @CityNinja650  ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly I don’t know. I’m 5.11 and my feet are planted with slight bent knees. I would head to a dealership to sit on one. Also I’m pretty sure they make a lowering kit for it but I really don’t see you needing it

    Nice bike. As a new rider, you seriously should consider focusing on gaining experience on your bike and shelve your youtuber dreams for now. Youve already made mistakes on your video because youre not paying attention.
