I can't believe this video has been posted....I saw Butler with this band and was absolutely floored when they played this song.... They were such an incredibly tight set of musicians.....! I remember the gig as if it were yesterday....Thanks for posting....Peace out...!
The great Will Downing on background vocals with his now wife Audrey Wheeler, The Late Great Don Alias (Jaco, David Sanborn, everybody else) with his nephew on percussion. The Late Great Wayne Brathwaite on bass (and producer of this album and many hits you know) Omar Hakim on drums. Vincent Henry on sax. We only rehearsed this at soundcheck. We did the record live at Battery Studios in NYC! No clicks. No tracks. No auto tune! M~

The band (to the best of my knowledge): Michael Bearden -keyboards, the late Wayne Braithwaite-bass, Omar Hakim-drums, the late Don Alias- percussion, Vincent Henry-sax, Will Downing, Curtis King-background vocals. I'm not sure about the other percussionist and the female backing vocalist.

How would I go about finding that laser disk? This was a grat band and I wish I had video of that time period.
