    This routine has brought this sport to the future. Artistic Swimming deserves more publicity than it gets. It takes such an immense level of strength, power, poise, and timing. Beyond impressive and truly beautiful to watch! Let's go, USA!

      @@Lana-z8u I didn't say that USA was #1, so you can chill. I just said the routine was modern, and the sport deserved more praise---for any country performing it.
      You don't have to be an ass.

    I wish we could have two feeds: one with the commentary, and one with just the music.
    This is an amazing routine, and I appreciate the commentary telling me things I don’t know or might have missed, but I also just want to watch it once just as it is.

    Wow... from some of these replies I see that racism is alive and well. For the record, diversity doesn't mean different skin tones. It only means vastly different people coming together. The fact that people get those two mixed up is just ignorant. It's team USA... each girl comes from a different state, region, and culture... that's as diverse as our team could be. Please, show me another country's team that is more diverse. China? Russia? Iran? Denmark? Jamaica? Mexico? I think not.

    • @CocoaErmine
      @CocoaErmine 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are correct that none of the other teams would be diverse from any of the other countries you mentioned. However, the majority of those countries don't claim to be the melting pot that the US does. Therefore Diversity in America is most often used to describe a mixture of different racial ethnicities and historically marginalised groups of people. Everyone knows that. Arguing anything else is simply preposterous. This group is obviously all European-American in background with possibly one or two of Hispanic background that identify as white.

    • @audraabbott5788
      @audraabbott5788 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, I don't debate racists online. Your opinion means absolutely nothing to me.

    • @CocoaErmine
      @CocoaErmine 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@audraabbott5788 Actually the people who are racist are those promoting false narratives about discrimination and who fail to call out instances of unconscious bias or those who pretend as if racism doesn't exist because it makes them uncomfortable. Anyone who speaks out against racism makes them uncomfortable because they don't want to face the reality of that struggle, largely because usually they are not a part of that marginalized group. So they gas light people who call out racism and invalidate their experience.

  • @sonyapeach
    @sonyapeach 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Diverse in state and countries, it doesn't have to be race

    • @sonyapeach
      @sonyapeach 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@siamon5793 That’s not diversity it never was. The lack of diversity issue has mainly been about race, since I was a little girl. It’s not all about race, no but it’s a huge factor.

    • @siamon5793
      @siamon5793 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sonyapeach however, you can use diversity for other things. Yes, all the contestant are white but they are from different states; diversity. I'm asian, born in a south Asian country and moved a few years ago and I know how hard it is to find diversity in terms of race. However, you and some others are complicating the term diversity, it doesn't always need to refer to race and hasn't in this context

    • @sonyapeach
      @sonyapeach 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@siamon5793 I’m not complicating the word. I’m stating the issue with America and how whites use the word to dismiss having to have true diversity. In America it was very common place for the media/society to label a film, school, neighborhood, city, sing group, etcetera as diverse when it was all white. Sure they had different backgrounds but most people in America have different backgrounds unless they are family. That isn’t true diversity. That what America have been doing since it’s creation to hide the fact that other people live/lived in America before the European takeover.
