I have a hitchhiking story. When I was 2 years old back in the early 80s, I was diagnosed with an eye cancer and my older sister was sick with a brain tumor. My family was traveling from our home in the Rio Grande Valley, in Texas to Galveston, where my sister and I were hospitalized. The story goes that my father picked up a man hitchhiking along the highway. My sister remembers that the atmosphere got eerily quiet and she was terrified when the man opened an switchblade comb from his pocket. During the drive my father began telling the man about me and my sister in the hospital. After only a couple of miles heading the story my family was going through, the man asked my father to drop him off in the middle of nowhere. When he got off the car he leaned into the window and told my father it was dangerous to pickup hitchhikers, and walked away.
I hitchhiked in the backroads of ventura county...long story short. I saw some..things i wish i wouldnt. I got a ride from 2 gentlemen...and i woke up in thier abandoned car the next day. I skipped the details.
Where I live we have a highway called "The Highway of Tears" where many women have disappeared! It is very scary and they think the women were hitchhiking or at truck stops and kidnapped/killed during their trip! There has been no clues as to who is doing it or where any of the women are! While there are all races of women that have disappeared, it has been mainly Indigenous Women! It seems like they are the ones targeted the most, which is so very scary for any Indigenous Women travelling along the highway! I wish there was more media coverage and funding on the situation!!! They need to find these women so they can be laid to rest and the families are able to get the closure they so desperately need!!!
An ex friend of mine turned into a dopehead, and showed another dopehead where I lived. I didn't know him but he showed up to my home and wouldn't let me leave my living room or talk to anyone . Long story short I was held down, choked and my phone stolen so I couldn't call for help. This world has always been crazy, but it's only getting worse!

Probably the scariest thing I did was go out to this place called Morgan's Corner at night. I was with a few friends and we thought it would be cool to see if the stories were true. Not a good idea at all. The true story is that two escaped convicts had invaded the home of a woman named Therese. They robbed her and she was left bound and gagged which left to her dying by suffocation in her home on March 11, 1948. The legend says that going there specifcally at night you could possibly die. Something about the spirits of the two convicts coming back to the corner and haunting it. I've heard many stories and I'd recommend never going there especailly alone. As for us we got lost for hours. We were so relieved to have stuck together and made it back to our car somehow.
I was on the train tracks(the trains are scheduled around 9pm) and there's a ledge that if you were small enough, you could slide through. I was sliding and fell 8ft onto rocks slid down, and I hit my head 3 times.
I had to hitchhike in northern Minnesota with a blizzard looming. My car died due to broken timing chain. Woman that picked me up took me to her house, let me call my family to give em a heads up and let me ride her couch until I the roads were clear enough for my girl to come after me. Nice lady. Thanks Mrs. Kelley. You kept me from becoming a personcicle

I've never heard resurrection Mary would try to kill, physical way, or drag you to a grave. I've always heard she would hitchhike, tell where she needs to go, take her there, and she's gone out the car when you get there. It was always a cemetery, where she wanted to go, thats what freaked people out the most.. So many stories can be spun off of that, but that's the story I've truly heard. Maybe, just maybe it's caused accidents, and deaths, but what was described in the video, I just don't see..

The hitchhiker was immediately pushed out of the vehicle while they drove off. While they were speeding away from what was unreal , on the side of the vehicle was that woman running beside and laughing at them.

There is a bar by the famous street “Archor Rd” that has a sign saying something like ‘have a drink with Mary’ I don’t know 🤷♀️ it’s just a cool story. The bar was just an added fact I believe it was the place Mary & her date came from when she was hit by a car. Again, vaguely remember the story
Years ago, I remember a family friend told me about the UBC hitchhiker ghost. She said that the ghost appears to be a relative of her's who had died by taking a ride from a drunk driver. The driver crashed the car and she died in the accident. Apparently, her parents would have people coming to their house to mention that they picked up their (deceased) daughter.
The riskiest thing I have done was back in the early 90s with I was about 7 or 8 I was walking home from the pool at the country club and some man that "said" he was the landscaper my parents had been using offered me a ride. At first, I said no and kept walking but eventually got in. The good thing was he was actually who he said and no some random psychopath.
I picked up a guy who was walking along a highway pretty deep in the woods. It was on my way home and I felt terrible for the guy because it was pouring outside and he had no umbrella. He wasn't even hitchhiking. I just felt compelled to do it because I figured that he was going to one of the mountain towns along my route. The scary part came when he asked me to drop him off at a trailhead because "his friend would meet up with him." I watched him walk into the woods and never saw him again. I'm lucky that he didn't take advantage of the situation. I was only a 20 year old girl, naive about how sick people can truly be. I could have been a body dumped at that trailhead.
I’ve hitched up and down the west coast and southwest up to the northwest. It’s pretty sketchy sometimes but I usually have another person and a couple dogs. I’ve traveled further that way without having to pay much and most people that stop are pretty chill. But I don’t suggest just anyone do it. Gotta be able to know when to turn down a ride too

So, I haven't watched this video entirely, But One day I was at My Nan's house and we both like Conspiracy theories and Thrillers, as well as Horror, so we started talking about Some scary stories we read on the internet. Now, I told My Nan about A story I saw on the Internet about A Girl called Lydia who was hitchhiking down a country lane, And the cold, wet harsh rainy weather. A Man driving along the road saw the young girl wearing a long, white Beautiful gown and stopped to ask if She wanted a ride. She said "Yes, Thank you, I'm Lydia." She whispered, And got in his car. She sat in the back and Gave him her address. She was silent the whole the whole ride home until he reached Lydia's Home half an hour, he Found himself in a small, Isolated road with just one small house. The rain had gotten heavier, And The man Climbed out of the car. "We're here," Says the young man, But was confused, as Lydia wasn't there. He shut the car door, And walked up to the small house, Knocking gently on the door, hoping he hadn't woken anybody up from sleeping. A few moments later, The door opened to a small old lady, who smiled softly at the man. "Come on in." She said. Still confused, The man said "I was driving A Girl home-" He is interrupted by the old lady. "Lydia." She said Sadly. She walked into the living room, carrying a tea tray with some Fancy blue China, And lead the young man to sit down. He sipped tea awkwardly for a second, before the lady turned around, And Picked up a photo on a beautiful Golden frame, with two pots of little blue flowers beside them in rose gold little vases. "Thank you very much for trying, But You're the 13th person now, Bringing Lydia Home. It turns out Lydia was at a School prom, but Was trying to hitchhike a ride, when a drunken driver knocked Lydia over, but by the time she was found in the morning, it was too late. Like I say, I haven't watched this video entirely, but I'm pretty sure this story was on the list. My nan told me that this story was a copy of her favourite song, "Bringing Mary Home." the scariest thing I've done was um kinda scary and one day I was outside at the park and these guys I don't even know pull up in a truck and three white guys get out and started shouting at me and my cousin and they stole are basketball but they kept looking at us and kept shouting wanna come play with us wanna play basketball with us and we ran away but they just stared for about three seconds and they ran away got back in their truck and left. I also almost got hit by a car like 3 times.

I've ran away from a person in a mall but I got lost while looking for my mom and she found me ( I was grounded for 5 months )
I skipped school in high school & went to the neighboring gas station for snacks; doesn't sound very scary, but all the cashier had to do was turn around & someone could've kidnapped me (super easy because I was shy to the point of being almost mute; chances of me screaming were slim). Needless to say, I didn't consider that at the time....
Me and my friends whent to the Sally house in Monticello Arkansas just to see was it really haunted I don't know why we did it but it is pretty haunted

So, I haven't watched this video entirely, But One day I was at My Nan's house and we both like Conspiracy theories and Thrillers, as well as Horror, so we started talking about Some scary stories we read on the internet. Now, I told My Nan about A story I saw on the Internet about A Girl called Lydia who was hitchhiking down a country lane, And the cold, wet harsh rainy weather. A Man driving along the road saw the young girl wearing a long, white Beautiful gown and stopped to ask if She wanted a ride. She said "Yes, Thank you, I'm Lydia." She whispered, And got in his car. She sat in the back and Gave him her address. She was silent the whole the whole ride home until he reached Lydia's Home half an hour, he Found himself in a small, Isolated road with just one small house. The rain had gotten heavier, And The man Climbed out of the car. "We're here," Says the young man, But was confused, as Lydia wasn't there. He shut the car door, And walked up to the small house, Knocking gently on the door, hoping he hadn't woken anybody up from sleeping. A few moments later, The door opened to a small old lady, who smiled softly at the man. "Come on in." She said. Still confused, The man said "I was driving A Girl home-" He is interrupted by the old lady. "Lydia." She said Sadly. She walked into the living room, carrying a tea tray with some Fancy blue China, And lead the young man to sit down. He sipped tea awkwardly for a second, before the lady turned around, And Picked up a photo on a beautiful Golden frame, with two pots of little blue flowers beside them in rose gold little vases. "Thank you very much for trying, But You're the 13th person now, Bringing Lydia Home.
It turns out Lydia was at a School prom, but Was trying to hitchhike a ride, when a drunken driver knocked Lydia over, but by the time she was found in the morning, it was too late.
Like I say, I haven't watched this video entirely, but I'm pretty sure this story was on the list. My nan told me that this story was a copy of her favourite song, "Bringing Mary Home." By Red Sovine.

the scariest thing I've done was um kinda scary and one day I was outside at the park and these guys I don't even know pull up in a truck and three white guys get out and started shouting at me and my cousin and they stole are basketball but they kept looking at us and kept shouting wanna come play with us wanna play basketball with us and we ran away but they just stared for about three seconds and they ran away got back in their truck and left. I also almost got hit by a car like 3 times.

People hitch hike every day - it’s called Uber and Lyft. You never know who is going to show up to pick you up or if you’re ACTUALLY going to make it to your destination.
