You can either lose the weight or buy into the fat acceptance movement and health at every size. Also the issue isn't meat, its too much sugar and carbs or just too much food in general.

Your corporate friends push fast food propaganda in kids' lives and arrange supermarkets so as to make healthy eating inconvenient

  • @gertibell

Cutting out food groups for kids is not the answer. Just portion sizes fit for a child & do not keep sugary foods in the house. Also limit fast food to once a month. Most moms did not keep junk in the house & we never got soda unless we were out to eat. Plus we were allowed to be out playing ALL DAY without parents. If we had to wait for our parents we would never be outside. That's how we stayed thin (And learned independence) in the 70's.

I don't think fast food is the problem. Most people know it's garbage and don't eat it on a daily basis. The problem rather is 'hidden' stuff like bread, cereal, pasta and so on. Basically, processed food. If people kept to mostly whole foods and cooked it themselves, they'd be healthy, and they could even treat themselves to some junk food here and there.

But maybe it's my age group which teens and young adults who are going to be way more fit, and selective bias 😂
