What excellent nice friends !!! ...There isn't anything more satisfying that will make a person feel content and happy than hot coffee on a cold morning with someone fixing a breakfast with bacon (and maybe pancakes), and nothing that you have to do but do whatever you want all day. That sure looked like a GREAT day!!!

That is what camp is all about getting together reminiscing and maybe once in a while somebody takes a deer very nice to see somebody enjoy camp for more than just hunting nothing against hunting I am a hunter but the tranquility is what makes it

5 star accommodations, I noticed the heated toilet seat behind the woodstove. Good thing Vonnie recently loaded up on the cherry supply! Snow Dog is going to get a workout hauling the pies in. Sleeping outside like that is the best sleep!!

My son and I search out dark sky in the UP each summer. A fond memory of mine is the dark sky west of Hastings Minnesota when I was a boy in the early 60's visiting my grandfather. Absolutely amazing, very hard to find know.
I live in Central Florida and I turned a small shed into a cabin inside. I can only use it during the cooler months as it doesnt have AC. I only have 1 acre of land with my home on it but during the cooler months I go out as often as I can and spend the night in the shed. It does wonders for me mentally. I get tired of the TV, radio and people in general. A campfire and camp food does wonders for a mind.
Aw, got beat by 3 others. Love watching these, always learning something new, enjoying the beauty of the Northwoods in Winter. On seeing JIm in color and light, the resemblence to my late father is missing. Guess it was just that one shot of him in black and white with the cap pulled down over his forehead. Got to show that pic to my sister 2 days before she died on th e 19th, without warning. Stay safe.

A friend bought an 1880’s Lumbermen’s, Squared Log, Pine Schoolhouse. Built as part of the lumbering village used for many years. Near a lake that they damed to wash the logs out ea Spring, down a river. That was in late 1970’s and so many of us crammed into it every fall, during hunting seasons. On 40 some acres, surrounded by 1000’s acres of state forests.
Great content! Nothing like hanging with good friends. Periodically, myself and three other highshool buddies will get together for the evening and do some catching up and reminisce about days gone by already.

I feel the same loss. As a kid growing up in a large mid-Atlantic city I can still remember my father and grandfather pointing out the bright band in the sky called the milky way... and so many lesser constellations that may as well all be gone. Seeing the Milky Way up there, well you just have to see it to understand how thick and milky looking the stars are.

A good friend has a cottage in the Minaki area,NW Ontario,we had a guys trip just before the virus hit mid January,hope that wasn't the last one.

Mr. Jamison, it is a good drink but we drink so little most of it got hauled out. No cherry pies had to be hauled out though.

We used to hang our toilet seat inside the cabin as well. Brother even bought a fancy cushioned one.

light pollution is almost unavoidable here in Jacksonville, FL. As a kid I lived on a quiet lake with no streetlights. The stars are amazing.
