Many have killed themselves (through depression/despair) and have died (through inadequate health services, etc...) as a result of the current situation caused mainly by their wrong actions whilst in power. If Bertie Ahern had any decency in him, he would have admitted his mistakes, refused any government pension and disappeared from public life. We all make mistakes, but the calibre of us is shown by the way we deal with them. I have never once heard Bertie Ahern apologise, admit his mistakes or accept punishment for same, thus his calibre is very very low in my humble opinion and at the quieter moments of the night he must realise, as he is an intelligent man I'll give him that, what a mess he has made of parts of his life.
