Home Minister Amit Shah announced that MHA will talk to both Meiteis and Kukis to bridge the ethnic divide at the earliest. It is being reported that CM Biren Singh who missed the meeting on Monday may be called to Delhi this week or the next to discuss a political solution for the ethnic strife in the state. At the same time, Kuki-zo groups have stepped up their demand and written to the MHA demanding a separate administration.
