"Thrill" and the title song were on the "Matador" single released Aug. 13, 2014. I think they played it the next day at Tower Records Shibuya which I missed, but saw them perform it at their favorite club Eggman later that year. They were playing it a year later, at their 2nd anniversary show at Eggman, as an encore. Btw, it's Akane's birthday, and it's her outgoing personality that helped B-M get gigs in their very early years. She would network with other musicians and club booking managers. It was her friendship with Eggman's booking man that helped to get them so many gigs there. That kept them going through some very tough times.
That's an awesome story about their humble beginnings. Akane has lots of friends like over 100 people. I will post a Happy Birthday pic in the community section. 😊 Thank for sharing 👍🏻
Yeah, Band-Maid played Thrill only once during the US 2022 tour. They played it more back in 2019. But no Thrill for 2023 US Tour. Fortunately, they played it at the Yokohama Arena show. ☺
Hi Jan! The close up clip in the middle is from your pal jim…. The Seattle serving was precious. The first full serving with cheering fans in so so long. If I knew Thrill was not going to played again for over a year I surely would have captured it all. We are blessed that so many people record and share the Maids. I wish it was cool in Japan. Every second of a Band-Maid show is as important as the others, our Endless Story.
I was bitching on a rock/metal channel about how the genre was dead. Someone wrote, "Look to Japan my friend, there's something in the water" and so I did. I discovered Crossfaith first, loved them. Band Maid was next. Had no idea what to expect. Thrill was the first thing I ever heard and my jaw just hit the floor like 👀 There are so, so few bands who've had that effect on me, all of them legends. Just like these girls
Yea, I've heard similar stories when people discover Band-Maid. Mine started with Thrill as well. Looking fwd to their new album coming out this summer ☀️ 👍🏻
Hi Timber, sorry I am behind on giving credits. I updated the description just now to credit you and the others. I used the @ sign with your userid. Which might give you a message? The First few tries, it wouldn't display your username so I had to keep trying.. Finally figured out, it's a lot easier to tag TH-camrs on my phone than PC. 👍

Thanks Uncle Yoshi. This is one of the better live recordings of Thrill. And very cool video from 4 angles 🙂

The lower left video is mine. I don't mind that you used it - anything to get the Maids out there - but credit would have been nice.
