Worked first try on my Lumia 640. Had to follow the steps in the other video first to update it to Windows 10 Mobile as WPInternals had reset it to 8.1u2. Thanks!
if you have Windows 10 mobile just go to Settings, About, then Update. Update to the latest version of Windows 10 mobile. Restart when asked to. Keep checking for updates until it says you are on the latest version. Finally with the phone pluged in, eg on a charge, go to the Store, it will want to update the store. Accept and That's it.

Following this process 100% bricked my 1520. At the 10:30 point in the video with the gears on screen after update, phone just shows a "frowny face" and boot loops. No recovery methods working.
I am sorry to hear that ☹️. While unlocking the bootloader of wp 8.1, my phone also got stuck in a boot loop and windows device recovery tool helped me recover it. Try this: install windows device recovery tool and then install the required firmware from lumiafirmware. Connect your phone with desktop with recovery tool open. The tool should recognize both, the device and the installed firmware. It worked for me, i hope it will also work for you.
WP Internals should work to flash default ffu tho ... go to manual tab and press on "interrupt the boot-process" blue text ... then plug in the phone and when it tries to boot it will just get into flash mode i believe , then from there you can flash the ffu , either by wp internals or thor2 or device recovery tool

x50 devices are not supported by that app version (as far as i know, there is no update on it) , but 950 got all the updates without using those apps , and managed to get the store updated by going on a ms store link from web (i was using continuum mode tho)

@@nodoubtwithsaad5209 it may sound harsh but it was a note i had to make , you should take it as a constructive critic, and maybe next time a few words or links to the devs github won't hurt anyone, i had to find other ways to get to the devs app page to see if newer versions/fixes were deployed.. and as for using your tutorial , i didn't had to go to it in the first place since my device it's "just working" as is ... didn't had to do all the steps , and for people with x50 devices (lumia 950 , 550 etc )it won't work because the apps won't support them at the moment ... that's why i said what i said in the comm :)))

You missed the most important part. The phone upgraded was actually non upgradable to 10 😉
