The quickshift on this bike works amazing. You just have to be near the correct RPM for the shift to be smooth. Every time someone says they have a problem with the down shift, it is 99% they are too high on the RPMs when trying to down shift. I only say 99% because 100 is an absolute, and there is always an outlier.
I feel like this bike is an absolute gem on the street. My first bike was a 2001 SV 650. Wish I still had it honestly. My present bike is super committed and not easy to ride for a long time.
I like the weird outros. That exhaust job was well done btw. Easy to watch through every second with engine soundtrackin'... and those edits with the rider disappearing/reappearing was classic. As soon as I come to to terms with the locomotive headlights, I'm reminded of that ridiculous choice of bolt-down clip-downs. Still would own one.
@yammienoob HELP!, I'm trying to find this LV exhaust and there seems to be two different SKU, Can you verify the Part # / UPC / SKU? much appreciated!
Enjoying the modification content as I'm considering a ECU flash for my 8S. Curious if you've noticed any changes in operating temperature, engine smoothness, or fuel efficiency after the tune? Sounds like you may miss this bike after you pass it on to its new owner!
Yammie, how tall are you and where does the wind pressure hit you from the windshield on the highway? I'm 6-2" with long legs (34) and wondering if the windscreen will be an irritating turbulence at the bottom of my helmet....
I have the Akrapovic exhaust on my 8R, with the baffle out, which has a quieter but more refined & smother sound quality to it which I prefer personally. The Leo Vince sounds good but I think I'd get tired of the volume & so would my neighbours lol.
I'm like you, it definitely needs a dB killer. Love the bass in the sound though! I so want to spend my entries for this 8R, but I'm not even a noob yet (still have to scheduled the MSF). 😉
@@dans2971 There's an easy-to-find site that will demonstrate comparative loudness to you by playing pink noise with confirmed decibel differences. The -10db sample sounds half as loud as the full power sample and the -3db sample is just barely noticeable for most people. 3db may be twice the pressure or amplitude or whatever the correct word is, but that doesn't mean it's twice the perceived loudness to the human ear and brain, especially given how we experience different frequencies asymmetrically. (Look up "equal loudness curve" for that one)
You mean the CP2 engine also in the XSR700, R7, Tenere 700, Tracer 7? Both are parallel twins with 270° cranks. If you don’t like that you can go Kawasaki or Honda with an even more forgettable 180° crank. No hate though I’m thinking of upgrading my Ninja 250R to a Ninja 500. The engine sound is the only bad part, it absolutely nails every other spec for me. I wish the R7 was a more comfortable street bike or I’d go that direction instead.
@@joekavalauskas8767 Indeed, I'm very much aware of the engine configuration having owned an MT07 for a while. Replaced it with a KTM 790 Duke that has a ptwin engine too, but with a 285 deg crank. That has since been replaced with a Honda that also has a ptwin engine - this time back to a 270 deg crank again .. but stepped up in size to over 1000cc. Never owned a kawasaki but did have a Suzuki GS500E a while back - that has a 180 deg ptwin and I would agree that it is the most forgettable of all the ptwin crank layouts - not a bad engine, just a bit bland and boring.
Very loud lol. Anything above 85 db can cause hearing loss and above 100, it gets uncomfortable. I was at a concert recently and the peak db was above 100db and it simply was not enjoyable....and I'm a heavy metal fan! All that said lol, on the road, 100 db is fine. In fact, being loud actually saves lives because cars hear us before we are right next to them.
@@mattm7798 as much as ppl oppose this, i have noticed i am way more heard when on the road with my lil 1 cyl thumper duke 390, just a downshift is enough for the car to notice me and move over so i can speed past which wasnt the case before
This is why Yammie recommends wearing ear plugs to bolster the hearing protection provided by a full-face helmet. The exhaust note sounds wicked, but it'll do quite a number on your hearing.
Soooo I’m new to the bike world but I just bought the same bike I googled that exhaust for my 24 gsx8r I can’t find it. Is that a custom built exhaust for you by LV 😂 maybe some direction of how to get that exhaust would be appreciated! Thank you
Yes I love the sound but it doesn't match the styling to me if that makes sense? Hoonigan naked or modern retro sound 💯 yes!! I do believe it will grow on me especially since I love suzuki 💪
The motorcycle equivalent of a Honda Civic with a fart can. I'm a Suzuki fan and used to own an SV, but this thing is getting way too much hype. It's not a sports bike. It's a commuter bike with a fairing and nice graphics. For slightly more money you can get an actual sport bike.
Love it! I would argue this class of sport bike is superior to the 3-500cc versions simply because you won't get tired of it. Plus being parallel twin, it doesn't have the same twitchy throttle an I4 does(anyone who says an I4 is a good beginner bike needs their keys taken away lol...i had a mid 90s i4 600 and even IT is not close to a good beginner bike)
To loud and obnoxious for me. I don't want to turn heads from a mile away. can you imagine coming home in the middle of the night. you neighbors would love you. why can't they make pipes with nice tone without the loud volume.
Guys please respond! Am I born to ride? I have absolutely zero motorcycle or dirt bike experience. My neighbor has a zx14r and he let me try it out. In less than 10 mins I was hitting the back road doing 85 and felt absolutely in control of the throttle and handling of the bike. It was the best feeling ever in my entire life and all I can think about now is buying my own.
If this is the lifestyle you want to live then go for it jump on twos I will say that it sounds like it was in a controlled scenario I not trying knock you down but everything that makes a good rider is how you handle yourself in those uncomfortable scenarios I still and probably most of the riders that care about what happens to riders say go through the process off starting small or at least middle weight motorcycle and take the msf course those big power bikes aren’t going anywhere you’ll appreciate the bike more if you can really use all of the bike
The exhaust install video had absolute garbage audio, so here you go! Enjoy the real sound
How long did the installation take? Any special tools I need?
Love the sound, it is not too brappy and has the perfect amount of deepness. Good choice.
Hola! No entiendo el idioma hablado, podrías escribir información para ese sonido por favor? Muchas gracias!
Beautiful! Six months on the 8S so far and the bike just keeps getting better. Great video!

Your rev matching is satisfying and scratches an itch in my brain aha
My favorite outro is where you silently make a bunch of faces and then ear rape scream "keep watching yammie nooooooooob!"
watching your videos for years even convinced me to get my first bike which was lexmoto... never again haha keep it up man love your videos
5:07 I didn't know you were colorblind🤔😂

Had a 2007 with a full Yoshimura RS3 system, no db-killer. Sounded amazing... but that was down 15 horsepower and 20 ft-lb torque on this GSX.
DAMN that sounds great!
I get the feeling you really dont want to give this bike away lol
Solid exhaust ASMR video 🤤
I like the weird outros. That exhaust job was well done btw. Easy to watch through every second with engine soundtrackin'... and those edits with the rider disappearing/reappearing was classic.
As soon as I come to to terms with the locomotive headlights, I'm reminded of that ridiculous choice of bolt-down clip-downs. Still would own one.
Beautiful, simply beautiful.
That 270 degree crank sounds sweet.
This little bit more raw and got crackels into it than the mt07. Cool sound
@yammienoob HELP!, I'm trying to find this LV exhaust and there seems to be two different SKU, Can you verify the Part # / UPC / SKU? much appreciated!
You have inspired me to leave my MT09's stock exhaust alone.
I want your "WAKE UP!" ending in my allarm
The downshift has definitely smoothed out since your first video ngl
Audio engineer here ready to dive into learning video. What software do you use?
Hello, EAN exhaust pls. In Europe LV seller say for this model in not compatibility to GSX-8R 2024. Thx
Keep watching yammie noob.
I need this level of sound check for all MT-09, setups.

You need to make more of these with other bikes.
ASMR for reals.
hi Guys, what exhaust system is this?
Very nice. The slightest hint of Ducati twin in there.
The ending😂😂😂😂😂 go back to the old endings 😂
Thank you for sharing. 😂 i have the silver one. Love it. Keep it going.
Yammie, how tall are you and where does the wind pressure hit you from the windshield on the highway? I'm 6-2" with long legs (34) and wondering if the windscreen will be an irritating turbulence at the bottom of my helmet....
Ok i have a ninja 500 and looking to get out of it. Is it worth it to get the zx4rr? Not tuned and then maybe tune it? Or should i go for a 8r or r7?
I got the akro exhaust on my 8r. Love the sound and there's always little pops on cold starts
I have the Akrapovic exhaust on my 8R, with the baffle out, which has a quieter but more refined & smother sound quality to it which I prefer personally. The Leo Vince sounds good but I think I'd get tired of the volume & so would my neighbours lol.

What is the best Harley for wheelies
LOL :)... the Myagi 400
Probably the Pan America.
Remember every 3db is twice the power.
Yeah, but it takes 10db for a perceived doubling of volume.

How bad did it hurt the range? ⛽️
Is a z500 something a 6'01" 250-270lb guy can fit on comfortably. Or should I get an MT-07?
im 5'10 and 220 and it fits really really really nice. pm me and i can send you some pics if you want.

That sounds great for a parallel twin...

Almost exact the same mt07 2017 with full akra no db

Same firing interval. Should have the same sound signature.

Lots of online retailers sell it.

I really like that sound that 8R makes now
Thats pretty throaty!
Try with a mic under the passenger seat
Oh my, but this is some very fine acceleration porn. Well done, Yammie. This is the way the bike should be delivered to the dealerships.
That's sounds great!!! Very nice
Amazing.
The sound of the 8, just , leaves me confused, not a bad thing, just different, not sure if I like or not, def don’t dislike, just very different
