very helpful. I'm using filmora x I had for a few years I was doing good with it until I got my new computer laptop set upnow with windows 11 it changed a bit. I forget about changing my tabs to length I'm gonna try to use your technique awesome video.
Thanks so much for this viedo, it's excellent and very well explained. One question though, how can I add guitar chord or fret board diagrams for chords or scales? Thanks so much in advance!
Fantastic . I really want to make videos like this. PROBLEM- I screen recorded tab with QuickTime and open it up in iMovie ,but it turns out all pixelated. Maybe it’s because my tv/monitor is only 720p ? Or something to do with iMovie ? Confusing. I want the tab to look crisp and clean on video. It was interesting when watching mannys video on TH-cam I started watching it in different resolutions options TH-cam gives up to 4K and the tab on mannys video changes in clarity a lot. Is that because of the resolution he recorded in? Or the resolution of his monitor ? Or to do with my tv/monitors limited 720p? Or a combination of all these things ? Aaaargh!
Hi Mannybass, Great video. I plan on covering songs with the guitar chords and lyrics showing on the video as I am playing, instead of tablature. How would I create this, and what software would I need for use on a PC?
Two way to create the chord diagrams. Either use Guitar Pro or create them manually in Photoshop. Then use add the diagrams to your editing software and program their place and movement in the video. As far as the lyrics you'll have to type these manually and animate their movement as well. I will probably have to create a tutorial
hi, Manny (is that right, your name? I guessed since it's called Mannybass), @mannybass You showed us how to sync the start of the bass playing with the start of the tab. But how do I make sure, that for the rest of the video the tabs scrolls in sync with the music you play? is that because the tab plays in exactly the same rhythm as you play the bass part?
Sem van Blerk hi Sem. The first thing I do is determine the BPM of the song I will cover. Then I'll create the tablature in guitarpro. I then export the video into premiere pro and line up the tabs with the audio. I then watch the video and make sure the tabs stay in sync for the entire song. If there is any discrepancy I'll use the cut tool and slice the tabs video and readjust the position of the part that is out of sync.
@@Mannybass I see quicktime software is easy to use as you show. It only record tab correctly. I try to use vlc software but it record full screen (not good). Can obs do the same as quicktime ?
I have a lot of guitar tab videos but the one that gets the most views by far is the one with the tab underneath thank you so much totally sub

Guitar Pro has an option to show the chord or fretboard diagram. It's got all you need
do you run into copyright issues using guitar pro in your video you post online?
It's never been an issue so far. Besides I don't think any copyright law is being broken.
@@Mannybass thanks for the quick reply!
Thank you
thank's, please is it possible to do the same with iMovie
Qué programa puedo usar si tengo windows en vez de mac?
Thanks for that!!!!!
thank you so much Bro♥
What software is used when chord graphs are added with a bouncing note or something that shows when to switch to each new chord? Thanks.
Is GuitarPro 6 a complicated software. Or is it easy to use
how to make it transparent, not white?
Is there a way to do this in imovie? I've been trying, but the tabs stay the same width/height proportion.
Could you have cropped that in Quick Time Player? It seems like it when you selected the tab although I'm not familiar with QT.

hi sir it useful for mobile?
What if your just trying to record the tabs?Does QuickTime Player record computer audio as well?

Is there the same method on windows? Sorry I don't have a macbook. :(
There are some screen capture softwares you can use for PC like OBS which is free. There are some other ones but you'll have to shell out some bucks

que programa es el que utilizas de video?
+FREDY uso 3 programas. Escribo las partituras en guitar pro 6. Grabo la pantalla con Quicktime player. Y luego edito los vídeos en Adobe Premiere
Hi, do you know how I can tablature what I play on my guitar?
That is, transform an audio file into a tablature. Thanks for your video.
There is no way to do it automatically. You have to do it manually, step by step.
