Underrated comment
Mom Steve is here, and he's great. I felt so bad for Jane's Mother in this episode. She just wanted to rescue her child. And as a result, Brenner fried her brain and left her in an eternal loop. Absolutely tragic. Another thing that's absolutely tragic is Will. Poor boy has gotten kidnapped, potentially possessed, and now he's seemingly getting burned alive from the inside out. That must feel awful. And poor Mike has to watch him scream in pain and not be able to do anything. This show is just full of pain. Especially after Mike held his hand and tried to comfort him at the beginning of the episode. He must've felt like he failed at protecting him.
A lot of people say season 2 is their least favorite. But honestly, I love it. Noah gets to show off his amazing acting skills after we didn't really get to see him much in S1. And he is great as Will. Portraying the fear. The pain. Switching from being panicked to having the 1000 yard stare after his encounter with the shadow creature. Amazing
The o ly reason season 2 is my least favotite - and i really loved it, mind you - is because it has the ONLY EVER weak episode of the entire show, the one where El meets 8. While it is important plotwise the wtitting was just not on par and you csn even feel the filmmskers were dragging their feet, like something they had to get over with until they returned to the actual storyline.
Were it not for that tpisode this season eould be one of the greatest.

Funny little inside joke from "Bob" at the 13:30 mark. He says "what's at the X, pirate treasure?"
This is in reference to the 80's movie The Goonies - Bob (Sean Astin) starred in it when he was 13 yrs old, around the same age as the boys, Max, & Eleven are now. I don't know if you've seen that movie yet - in a nutshell, a group of young kids go on a treasure hunt. 😊
The Duffer brothers loved that movie when they were kids & this is one of many ways they pay homage to that classic film. They were thrilled to get Sean Astin as a cast member. More references to past pop culture will come into play in later seasons.

When Dustin was trying to lure Dart to the cellar he was wearing "heavy armor" which gives you disadvantage on stealth checks. So, dart "saw" him.
In reference to the syrup, there's a red one that's supposed to be fruity pebbles flavored

We will touch back with Eight & her friends in an upcoming chapter. Many fans dislike that chapter & some many even tell you to skip it all together. But that would be a mistake. A lot of fans think it is a 'throw away" chapter, due to it feeling somewhat disjointed from the main story playing out in Hawkins. But it does have a crucial connection which some folks don't realize. I won't divulge any more right now so as not to give out spoilers on what that chapter is about & which characters are involved. 🤔
Side note - this is off subject, but I just wanted to add that Bridget is totally rockin' her new bangs - frames your pretty face so nicely. ☺

@@BRIDGECO1 Good! What im gonna say is that Invincible ending (last couple episodes) is one of the most shocking and disturbing endings that i have ever seen. This show can be animated ( i know some people can't get behind animated series or movies) but it is so worth it to watch.
