    @20:56 - we just moved to the flats just at the top of that ramp to the left, so I take the river/canal all the time. we just went up to Bowling last week. I've never taken the other way beyond Lambhill, but I'll definitely go up with my wife and kids to Kirkinilloch soon - it looked like a nice ride.

      its not in this video but Lambhill stables looks like a really cool place for a stop on your way out.

    I love the little map cutaways you have, could spend hours doing the then and now swipe 😀 I’ve not done that whole route but it looks fun. I made some scales for the Bella sculpture at an art workshop last weekend 🐲

      @@AlisonAdventuring that’s brilliant that you made some scales for Bella. Think it’s great that art and a great space like this can benefit the community for years to come. I’ve spent way too much time swiping on those old maps😄

    Does Olivia require Cosy gritting updates from Port Dundas on NCN 754? First deployment looks like Monday 18 Nov. I trust this is acceptable?

    Can you provide a gpx of your route through Milngavie? I struggle to find a safe route.

    • @tomquinn9765
      @tomquinn9765 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      There isn't really a safe route.
      From Old Mugdock Rd you go onto Mugdock Rd, and can cut into the north end of the reservoir to join the path around that. Follow path around to the James M Gale memorial, then down the path to Moor Rd. From there, Buchanan St is quieter than Strathblane Rd to get to the A81. From there, you're out of luck! You can go past the train station, through Lennox Park to avoid some of the Main St.
      You've highlighted why the Bearsway REALLY needs to be finished.

    • @paulrimmer4848
      @paulrimmer4848 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@tomquinn9765 I turn right into Mosspark Road and then follow a rather convoluted route which takes in Clober Road, Craigton Road, Craigton Avenue, across Balvie Road and along Oakburn Avenue, Drumgoyne Avenue and over Craigdhu Road and on to Drumcorn Drive, over South Mains Road and on to Breadie Drive, along to Galbraith Drive, and finally along the path beside the Craigdhu Burn to the A81. I haven't found a way of avoiding the section past Hillfoot station to Kessington Drive and my understanding is that attempts to resolve this have been blocked.

      @@paulrimmer4848 unfortunately going through Milngavie feels more on road than off road. Bearsway definitely needs completed.
