It is just the name of the game. There are monogamous animals and animals that engage in multiple partners. @@sandra-jones Totally valid question. Solo-poly is rather broad, but typically it is a person who engages in ethical non-monogamy that tends to not entangle themselves in their relationships. So we typically choose to not co-habitat, co-mingle finances, and may not designate a primary partner. It doesn't mean that the emotional or intimate attachments are not equally strong or that we don't have emotional primaries, we just typically deeply value our autonomy... like you know how when people are in relationships and are considered a unit by their friends or family? That concept is something that a solo-poly person would not like. Hopefully that helps.

This is very interesting for me.
I think the best thing is honesty and up front declarations of what everyone expects out of the relationship. Monogamy has always been super important to me for my relationships and having trust with someone within that monogamy. Honesty about feelings of attraction towards other people and the want to act on it is so much better than breaking that agreement and trust.

I cried when watching this because I had a very sad break up from a poly situation. I love this. Everyone is like "this is so awkward" and it's like no, there is just not a whole lot of jump cuts and all of them definitely have different personalities which is fun to watch interact, perhaps one or all of them even have "on camera" personalities which is what we get to see. I feel like they did something here for sure.
