The Spanish one is similar but it’s called fisher of men. The song speaks of God coming to a man and the man giving up his life to become the fisher of men just like in the Bible. He says “on the banks I leave my boat to look for other waters with you.” He also speaks of God looking with love at him and getting the strength to follow Him. The English cover is so beautiful but the Spanish version is much more profound, it feels like you are truly Gods adorable child and he will lead you himself onto a new path. As you sing it you get this warm fuzzy feeling inside ❤
This song came to me in my sleep last night, but I couldn't remember much of it to sing it interiorly which I wanted to so much. While listening to morning Mass on the drive to work they sang this song! Overwhelmed, God is active and showed me His tender love. Thank you for your beautiful rendition on TH-cam so I could listen to it a few more times. God bless you!
I love this song so much, in particular the feeling of peace I find in your voice Chris. This is one of the songs that has been in my mind since I lost my parents, last month. Thank you very much! from Calgary, Canada
I love the guitar rhythm you chose. Of all the recordings of this piece I listened to they did not bring out the Spanish flair as you did. Thank you for that. You also have a lovely voice.
Praise God!! Amen God is so good!! My husband just sent this to me in Spanish by the singer Bronco...your voice is awesome!! Thank you for your video!!🥰😇💯🙏➕
Chris, your music goes straight to my heart!! Last year I was search versions of the Irish Blessing, "May the road rise up to meet you...." your heartfelt version still moves me to tears. We don't play recorded music at our parish but I referenced your version to our music director as the most beautiful I have heard.. Another favorite of mine is your song. "Joseph's Song"...such a beautiful prayer to the Infant...still moves me to tears. I love every song on your album and listen to it frequently...a real blessing in the times in which we live..Thank you for sharing your incredible gifts with us!!!
Thank you again Chris. I always rely on you to sing in the key we will be singing in for mass. It is so helpful for me when I need to practice the alto part.
It’s wonderful how this beautiful canto can be appreciated in both Inglés y español. I’ve only ever heard the Spanish version until recently. Thank you for sharing the English version. God bless❤
Bummer. Was gonna sing this for Mass this Sunday but they took it out of the Music Issue 2023. 😩😔 I was looking for the title sometimes it’s in english or spanish. Nope neither.
Yeah the composer had very serious sexual abuse charges against him, so like David Haas’ music, they just took it out. Ernest Sands songs too (the Song of Farewell and Sing of the Lord’s goodness)
Hello again, might I use this recording in an online service of the United Reformed Church in the UK? We've got the requisite licences and would, of course, credit you in the order of service. Many thanks, Andy Braunston
Nice. If you're taking requests, could really use a nice clean recording of "Bread That Was Sown" from W. Priory. I need something nice to share with my music ministers! Thanks for your hard work, brother.
It's really simple. Ideal for congregational singing as the verses and refrain are almost the same melodic idea. I hope you'll enjoy it! Let's do a collab video sometime!
Here ya go! Definitely not my best effort....I was straining to get some of those notes. But maybe this will help you guys. I recorded a verse without words so if you want to pick a verse and sing along you can. :-) I think I'll re-record this in E when I get a chance. th-cam.com/video/LQu8QeKMcoA/w-d-xo.html
Standard guitar tuning. The song (called "Pescador de Hombres" or "Lord, You Have Come") can be purchased from the OCP Oregon Catholic Press website. It might cost $2 to buy. The chords are fairly simple, you may be able to figure them out just by watching. Peace
43 years singing in spanish .... First time I hear the english version ....you have done a great job .... Beautiful 💐
Thank you so much!

who have this beautifull song lyric?
Please write the chords please
I wouldn’t know how to do that.
You doing this for this coming weekend, too? Thanks, bubba!
No not this week. But I use it frequently. Sometimes I just record songs because i come across it in the book and realize I haven't done it yet. :)

+Eric Thompson I don't think I know that one, but I'll see if I can record it tonight

I do so wish Marty Robbins and the Glazers would have recorded this one. Nice rendition though.
Where did you get the chords? What is the tuning? Can you share that please?
Standard guitar tuning. The song (called "Pescador de Hombres" or "Lord, You Have Come") can be purchased from the OCP Oregon Catholic Press website. It might cost $2 to buy. The chords are fairly simple, you may be able to figure them out just by watching. Peace
Can you just list the chords? Did you come up with them yourself or did you get the sequence from elsewhere?
Timmythadancer I'm using the arrangement from the sheet music that is available from OCP.
