Great interview guys! I am a massive fan of TEV and this was so interesting to get a little backdrop on it's journey. Connor is such an inspiration even though I'm sure he never set out to be but it's just nice for me to see more real 'salt of the earth' people, pursuing what they themselves love and making it work too! I can understand the need for advertising especially nowadays and especially a product that is quite hard to 'sell' via nearly all current mediums given that 'smell-o-vision' ....'smell-o-sniffin' ??? is still yet to be developed haha. But once a brand does get past a certain point of public 'presence'/brand awareness then i honestly think that what actually carries it on for years and years to come is word of mouth and repeated customer satisfaction, plain and simple BUT only if they are genuinely good at what they do and produce and maintain/improve upon that. In fact, it's why there's usually a 'spike' or 'bubble' to most business's success as they get the benefit of advertising everywhere in the beginning and it's new and novel so people try it out to see what all the hype is about but then if they are not actually that good or just even if they are not that much better than their competitors then that 'success wave' kinda fizzles out. This is where those companies that make top tier products and don't ever compromise on quality or the values they have - stand the test of time (in my humble opinion of course 😆). I think TEV are better off doing most things in-house tbh or with very select few outsourced entities and if needs be, just develop your own people to be the relevant agencies in their own right...then outsource them guys haha! Nah but in all seriousness - just keep building on what you already have created as it's great. If you can improve on any aspects then do so to give you even more of a gap between your competitors. Like where you may have had to slightly decrease frag oil content due to cost per volume you were buying at the beginning, then bump that up now that you got the volume in terms purchasing power. I think a good series of vids for youtube would be you guys (not influencers or anything like that) going to major city centres and doing blind testing on the public, these will be more authentic and show your confidence in your product and is what customers are wanting (craving) now more than ever especially with all the generic fake style paid advertising in our faces all the time. I will be checking out more of you guys videos on here too - i've subbed! 🙆‍♀
