Loved the vid. And I actually like the processing of the game part of the videos. I subscribe to Deer Meat for Dinner and what he does is put the processing part of the video in a link in the description of the main video. Hope that helps you.
You are literally killing and eating animals just for money. There is nothing to learn anymore because you've practically already covered everything. You are not respecting nature when you're just killing animals and eating them just so that you can make money for yourself. You would talk about respecting nature and all that, but now, you are just killing cold blood. It is all just for money and you won't stop because the money is good. So don't go and tell everyone about how much you "respect" nature, because from this point on, it is just killing for yourself and your greed for money.
Wooded. Beardsman I'm a 66 yr.old grandma. My grandkids I'm Nanny. I absolutely love your video's. They are great. I live in. N. C. This fall when I've recooped more from my back surgery I'm going to bushcamp. God bless you and all your family. Looking forward to more video's.
I think Jeremy is correct. The squirrels have likely become more tolerant of the tannins. Much like birds are tolerant of the capsaicin compound in peppers while mammals still react to it. Good video man!
Y'all are so correct and I've stated this for years, about folks being so far removed from the processing of the foods they eat. Even something as simple as eggs. Hand someone a fresh egg with poop on it and they gag at the thought of eating one. We have become too sterile from nature.
When I was young and very poor, and couldn't even afford a sandwich off the lunch wagon, an old black gentleman brought some raccoon he had barbecued to the work site and graciously shared it with me. It was the most delicious barbecue I have ever eaten to this day, 50 years later.
I really liked the way you addressed killing the animal, you made a lot of great points that were very respectful and true. Especially when you point out that the benefit of being a human predator is that you can reduce the suffering of your prey. Life in the ecosystem is brutal and most predators don't give their prey that benefit.
Full stop. Love the outtakes at the end. Comparing Jeremy in this video to the woodland caribou video, he’s shedding layers for sure. Looks like he’s doing well though and sticking to it.
I've followed Jeremy ever since he started one wildcrafter and follow Delphanie on Instagram. I love what they're doing. I hunt, fish and trap for most of my meat, and have a pretty big garden as well. Almost literally the only reason I go to the store is to get foods for my two girls (and the animals of course) but those two are starting to come around to eating the same things that I do. They love venison and most fish but they're pallet is expanding. Yay!
Love the fact that you always adress the honesty of killing an animal. It is not fun, but it is indeed more honest than gobbling down a normal burger and finding a slaughter house pathetic. I try to teach this to my students. Unfortunately the urban kids are so unfamiliar with the circle of life that they can not really relate. That's why once every year I make foods with insects to show my students that food is food and that it takes killing an animal to get that food: Deep fried locus dipped in chocolate, YUM!

almost 30% of the world still uses those table top manual grinders.. for everything including really fine spinach griding..so about 1 KG of spinach grounded down from that comes to 1 handful of spinach..and its very very fine... but not enough for 1 person 1 time meal. plus if your doing off-grid stuff.. those manual machines come handy alot. where did the raccoon skin go? Suggestion.. now that its almost summer.. you should quickly add framed mesh skirting to your cabin...but add a crawl space door with locks to one of the end..usually at the front.. so who know tomorrow you might need to fit your backside (no pun intended) under the cabin..to add or clean something under the cabin.. or store stuff.. it would be useful... so the skirting should be atleast 2 feet down..from the cabin edge..and why? critters do dig down the soft surfaces to get under homes or huts or cabins..to find a cool n dark and safe space from larger wild animals. As for the Weather here.. its been going up n down.. so today.. tho the day was almost cloudy.. it was 32c. The thing I find so spooky about raccoons is their tracks. I was staying in the woods one night and came out in the morning to find what looked like preemie baby's muddy hand print on my bicycle pannier. Took me a good ten seconds to realize it was a raccoon's, but they were a pretty freaked out ten seconds.
That was funny when you revealed to Jeremy that you didn't degland the raccoon until after you been eating it! I find yarrow flowers to be bitter and oily. Usually steep them for tea. Never tried to use as spice. Perhaps the greens are less bitter. Any how love your channel and appreciate the education!
Hey beard man . What’s your story about your life? Have you been doing this since you were a kid? Bc These videos are awesome 👏 and what made you wanna start filming?

When are you going to finish the interior of the cabin and another thing get a broom and sweep the floor, clean the ashes off the stove, just because it a cabin doesn't mean it can't be kept clean. By the way great videos. And I agree that you show how people how to hunt and trap and what type of wild plants are edible, how to skin animals how to preserve and smoke meat, prepare food. People might learn something to help them to survive out in the wild or even to be more self sustainable.
Always thought it was funny people hating on hunters. I've always had the same argument as you, the best death an animal can hope for in the wild is a well placed shot. Vegans rather see a pack of coyotes eat a deer alive over 10 excruciating minutes than dead before it hits the ground from a well placed shot. Also always thought the same thing of if you aren't willing to kill an animal yourself that's fine but don't go to the store and buy meat if that's the case. Meat eaters against hunting are some of the biggest hypocrites out there.
Thanks Chris, We call that mincing meat in Great Britain,,I remember using a mincer (grinder) with my mother a good few years ago I can remember we minced left over lamb from Sunday dinner,We would have I the next day, cooked up with carrots and onions minced in with chips (French fries ) In was a war time way to make food last and no waste. Thanks :)
Hi Guy's ! As to the squirrel's/(Furry Tailed Tree Rat's), tannin/acid question......? I'd say that it's mother natures way of keeping some of the parasites at bay !! I have a question for y'all ..... Do you still have many Red or Fox squirrels up above the 49th ? They have been almost wiped-out here, except for the mountains of western North Carolina ! We still have plenty of Grey's, but it would take 5 or 6 to fill a tea cup !!
Im Not sure why your buddy hasn't tried too set up a Garden at his home for a couple of the Wild flowers ,Berries Ect. So That he can pick if he's doing a Year or longer . I understand that some of them it's not ideal to even try to grow some of them & many are dependent on time of year . But I'm sure there's a few that can be easily grown from seeds & bulbs seasonally. There still considered WILD Herbs flowers. Meanwhile growing seasonal plants still going out & picking them during hunting ,Fishing & gathering season . But either collecting Seeds or bulbs while gathering from other plants that aren't being gathered for eating also trying to obtain seeds from the ones you've gathered too eat. I know he's gathering Enough to put some into storage for use later on . But try to grow some of the ones you like the most & use most. But with That being said I can definitely see my self doing this and I'd absolutely love to be able to in the near future.
Hey man, glad to see you healthy and still keeping up with the wild lifestyle. I have a question, how do you keep up with your family needs? (I hope they are well too by the way). I mean where do you take money to the family needs and etc? With all the best regards, your fan from Kazakhstan. P.S. I hope it's not an inapropriate question.
Always great when you guys work together. The burgers look good, I don’t know if I would eat one from the GTA, even though I’d like to remove some. Keep up the great videos.
Nice video Chris hi Jeremy thank you both for making this entertaining video. Raccoon meat has a nice red colour mouthwatering never had it, no Raccoons in the Uk. Talking about scent glands wild rabbits have them I always remove them, well once again thanks for sharing. 👍😳👌🇬🇧
A tip on cooking game burgers, especially venison. Sear on each side; add beer, wine, cider or water to the pan; cover, then steam them until done. It allows them to be cooked well without getting dry.
I can understand the harvesting of animals. You did the the whole process well. 👍 I've never eaten raccoon, but bear, beaver, muskrat, squirrels are fair game for me in the bush. 🍻
I just bought a $200 live trap because there has been a raccoon getting into my parents' garage. Hopefully I'll be doing up some raccoon burgers up north here soon too.
Thaddeus M HaH traps have spring loaded doors. Door won't open on its own in any position. I've actually stood them on end with a leaning stick trigger and caught plenty with no escapes.

What kind of tactical pants are you wearing and do you recommend them?
Never thought that one day I would be alive to hear a Racoon Burger.
I liked that line “Hired Hitman”.....!
Your like a hunting bob ross, i love your channel
I always soak the fellas in a brine for a spell. I soak wild turkey.. in Wild Turkey. The gravy can't be beat.
You're darn Davie Crockett, "Turn around so the Raccoon isn't afraid of you!" right I would.

Always great when you guys work together. The burgers look good, I don’t know if I would eat one from the GTA, even though I’d like to remove some. Keep up the great videos.
well Dude this is one of your better videos .Of course the ones that also have your family members are great .
Nice video Chris hi Jeremy thank you both for making this entertaining video. Raccoon meat has a nice red colour mouthwatering never had it, no Raccoons in the Uk. Talking about scent glands wild rabbits have them I always remove them, well once again thanks for sharing. 👍😳👌🇬🇧
Where are rabbit scent glands located?
How do you clean the pots and pans?
Snow works really well!
Love your videos! Keep up the good work! c:
A tip on cooking game burgers, especially venison. Sear on each side; add beer, wine, cider or water to the pan; cover, then steam them until done. It allows them to be cooked well without getting dry.
Man my mouth watered up like I drank water!
My kind of video before bed
I can understand the harvesting of animals. You did the the whole process well. 👍
I've never eaten raccoon, but bear, beaver, muskrat, squirrels are fair game for me in the bush. 🍻
All good meats!
I just bought a $200 live trap because there has been a raccoon getting into my parents' garage. Hopefully I'll be doing up some raccoon burgers up north here soon too.
Raccoon is tasty! I eat them probably about once a month.
200...damn, was that the 42x16? could probably make do with the 32"
@@mayamachine They tell you to set it up upside down? Is it the same design as the one in the video? small foot pedal that releases door ?
@@mayamachine if you set it up upside down the lever cant get triggered lol
LOL the ending.

Nope, it's still there, but no content anymore :(
ALWAYS stake your have a heart traps to the ground so the critter can't flip it and get out!
Thaddeus M HaH traps have spring loaded doors. Door won't open on its own in any position. I've actually stood them on end with a leaning stick trigger and caught plenty with no escapes.
que lindo es pasar la vida en la naturaleza, me encantan tus videos
Two handsome bearded men. Very informative, and enjoyed watching this.
Thank you for this video. I always imagine myself doing it personally in the woods.
Time to keep distributing and planting those wild leeks, onions, and garlic in other areas to keep up the forage gardens.
From the last video, with the alien scout ship, jeremy's 3rd eye should be fully opened by now.😂
