Thank you for taking the time to answer my question Duncan. Most appreciated, as was your answer and honesty. I will look into Real Dash, looks good. Any dongle that you could recommend? I remember having issues in the past with a JDM Nissan, ODB2 and consult rings a bell although something tells me an ecutek ecu is a lot more flexible and common place across various manufacturers
I just used a reasonably cheap Bluetooth one from amazon. If you're on iPhone it might need to be WiFi or BLE. Ecutek is just a method for reprogramming the std ecu it doesn't replace the ecu 👍
Sorry I missed you Q&A this week !! My EJ205 build I was planning on fitting a VF35 that I have in stock was wondering what your thoughts are on these turbos Duncan ??
No doubt. To be fair, the cams are also not stock, they are kelford v2-199-c with manually adjustable sprockets :) The engine is currently being rebuilt with AVCS heads, I hope to get ~600hp + a better low end. The last dyno was 570hp with the intake cam fixed in 20° (crank) advance, and the exhaust cam @ 6° advance. The exhaust advance was mostly for a more stable idle/low end, no lope.
I love Kelford cams.. Had them on my Ta Impreza engine at 850bhp.. Such high lift but still idled lush 😎 Good luck with that target. Will def give more mid range, not 100% on top end improvements but you may find more power reducing that advance at the top 👍
Hi again Duncan I wanted to ask I've recently installed powerflex rear subframe polybush inserts in my 2011 sti hatch. Do you know if there is specific torque settings to tighten them back up we haven't torqued them because we are not sure🙈
Hi Duncan Jorge Madeira man from Bristol! Got a 2010 Jdm Sti now and had been mapped when it came in by another mapper. The map has made the common stumble a lot worse whilst normal driving. I have noticed when on over 50% throttle it seems to get through the stumble rev range and with less hesitation? Is this because fuel pump is running on more duty and is it possible to keep the fuel pump running more duty on less throttle to get over the issue. I have a few logs I’ve taken which show the stumble on my daily drive. Thanks for your help and will be joining the academy as if always wanted to learn mapping on Subarus. Also don’t mind if you would like to use my car as a video car to work this common issue out. Cheers
Ola Jorge. There seems to be a few symptoms for the GR stumble and a few solutions too that could work but don't always. If you want to bring it up to the dyno we can identify and cure imo.. And yes it would make for an informative video I think 😎
Thank you for a great video and mentioning my name looking forward to seeing you soon
My pleasure Paul 👍

They are great mix of spool up and power - Good option and readily found as on a lot of std sti imprezas over many yrs :)
Hey , thanks for the great videos and knowledge.. greatly appreciated bro.

Wow. Great part of the world 😎
I put the biggest top mount from Wagner Tuning and a custom hood scoop/undertray on my shitbox and am making about 600hp with it on 60% ethanol.
Arashi turbo TD06SL2 hotside wheel in a 0.72a/r housing with a Garrett g series 660 clone coldside wheel.
Really nice power from that setup 👏 The ethanol helps the cooling massively aswell as the extra oxygen 😎

The heads will be sAVCS, planning to run 30° (crank) intake advance till about 4-5k rpm with fixed 0° ex.

Hi. I have to say I don't know. Generally suspension bolts are set to 'tight' on my car 🤣 Copper slip them before putting in though 👍
Just watched on catch up…..again! Couldn’t help thinking you held back about other mappers at the end 😉🫢
Lol. Perhaps 🤣
