Informative videos like this are great exposure to the minutiae of unknown skills. Metalwork has been one of those 3rd on my list of additional hobbies things for a while, but I know little enough about it that if asked how to make holes like that, I would have made up some crazy thing that would not have worked nearly as well! Thanks for teaching me something new.
great video, i am learning on scroll saw and you cut better and faster with a hand saw than i do on a scroll saw, im still battling with tight corners or curves, thank you for the video
Hi! how are you ? I have a channel that deals with the piercing saw and uses it in the manufacture of lighting. Please take a look, you may like some of the videos. Thanks.
Interesting! I was taught to tighten one side of the saw frame on the blade, then lean my weight on the other side to bend it a little before tightening. That way the blade is pulled taut when you let go and you get a nice ping. Different ways of doing things, I guess. Same result either way. :)

Can you use those blades on scroll saws or are they too delicate? Also, where do you get your background music, I kinda want to use that for my D&D games. Thanks!
This is going to be a dumb question, my eyes are terrible so please forgive me... is this wood you cutting? Or some other material? It sounds like metal... ?
Way vax, what do that? Woodwork at school (Sweden) my teacher didn't say anything about vax, never. But I broke a lot of those in my 9 years elementary school, hihi Vax could have given me better choice of words.
This comment is clearly from awhile ago, but my middle school art teacher had us use this technique to create our own necklaces! No major injuries, and everyone’s designs turned out great.

I'm really glad I got to watch you work in real time. It makes me really appreciate the patience necessary for a quality piece.
I appreciate that
The most difficult part for me…keep breaking the files…pleasure to watch your video. ❤️❤️❤️

It so satisfying to watch the design come out of the metal!

Oh I've never used beeswax on my blade and it has cost me way to many broken blades 😅 thank you for the lesson 😄
Oh yeah, I learned the hard way that the wax is there to keep snags from snapping the blade and not just help you cut.

Am I the only one who was blowing my phone screen while watching 😂 thanks for the tip. Today is my first day of work in a new workshop.
Awesome work ! Thanks for the help!
Wow!!! That's awesome. Thank you for sharing.
Have you ever used this method for cutting leather into intricate designs?
Great work, what did you do to etch design on metal. Thank you
Edinburgh etch. You can find my how-to video in a search of my channel. Cheers.
Plz this blade size ?
Nice work; really cool design. Out of curiosity what gauge metal did you use? 18g?
18 or 20.
pleasure to watch your video👌👌👌👌
Intriguing idea, but not yet.

I watched to see if it was um, cut for content. Ha. How did you get the design on the brass sheet?
You can draw it on. Or you can laser print and acestone transfer it. I was odd and etched it as a random idea and it turned out great.
Are you using brass sheet and if so what gauge is it please?
I think this was 20.
Hello. Nice video . I liked it .
HOW DO I BUY GOOD WAX FOR MY BLADE WHEN EVER I TRY TO DO IT I BROKE BLADE SOME TIME
Bees Wax and good tension and way too much patience. Also the right teeth.
What size blade were you using?
Honestly I just asked for whatever was best for the brass thickness I was cutting though at the store I got them from.
@@DarkHorseWorkshop fair enough

I just saw the Epidemic Sound mention above..
Never tried them on a scroll saw, I don't own one
Blade is number 7?😊
I have no idea I'm a saw amateur
At least you didn't use too much antique in this video.....
👍
This is going to be a dumb question, my eyes are terrible so please forgive me... is this wood you cutting? Or some other material?
It sounds like metal... ?
It's brass
Do you sale
How about jigsaw
I'd use a scroll saw.

Vax could have given me better choice of words.
For wood and plastic, it is not important to use wax, but for metals, the use of wax is very important
don't throw the scraps away. And sawing with a fine blade like this is not for beginners.
It's not very difficult I don't see why it's not for beginners.

Kind of a monotonous video 😁, but thanks for the tips and tricks
