I wish you'd painted it two-tone. They look so great with the two-tone paint scheme.

These beautiful little English cars from the 50s,60s are wonderful cars. They also remind me of the TV show,Heartbeat.one of my favourite shows, especially for this period cars.

Like how he's prepared the bonnet beforehand. Then shuts it!

Yes my grandad had the same, grey and dove grey were the 'official' colours I think. I loved it and wish I could find one.

For £10,000 I would expect the original underseal to be stripped off and a modern compound applied. It looks great, but I’d never pay that sort of money for one of these.

I think the meaning of his comment was that it had been undersealed throughout its life, as in: "undersealed from new".

I'm disappointed, when I saw Trojan motors it conjured up images of Montego engine bay or Me Minilites ---- LOL

My dad had one probably paid about £30 early 70s I hated it looked so old fashion even then,he put some bigger springs on the back, made it arse stick up,they always looked like arse draggers

It was "old fashioned" looking by 1960, when the Farina designed versions had taken over and been around for 2 years. It was more a stop gap before the awaited cooler Farinas were to take over. I thought so, even as a no-nothing kid! Couldn't understand why Corgi models were still selling them! But by 1973 it truly was a relic. But within the last 20 years or so they have become more desirable, even though silly money is bring asked in some quarters. To me, "stop gap" models seemed to sum up BL offerings from start to finish, but time seems to heal a bit. Just a thought or two!
