You are my hero. Now I know how to lace the holeless rim. Thank you!

You video just fixed my very specific problem. First time tubeless and broke a spoke. Much easier than threading with with an air compressor and string or wires.

Where do you find a 2mm steel insert like that?

For a 2mm spoke, the correct screw size is a US standard #2-56. Make sure to get non-stainless steel, since stainless steel is not as magnetic as regular steel. I got some 3/4" ones from Home Depot, which are nearly perfect. I had to cut the button head off to get them to allow the nipple to work. A bit of sanding the sharp edge down and it's perfect.

What about with a broken spoke in the middle of the wheel? How to remove the nipple with all the other nipples from the other spokes in the way? Many thanks!

Hey Pedro, there are a few different things that you could do. Try replacing the spoke without losing the nipple in the rim (this is difficult to do). If you lose the nipple in the rim, there should be enough space still for you to be able to shake the nipple out of the valve hole. To put a nipple back in follow the steps in the video. There is also the easiest solution, which is taking the wheel to a bike shop.

    So how.do you Tru them?

Once the nipple is in place, it works like any standard external nipple. Note that this cannot work with internal nipples.

I'm assuming all screws are steel, otherwise it won't work with aluminum or brass nipples...

that's what the steel insert is for I think

For Sure…but where did you get those? Even w/o a driver and with a 2mm thread. Please tell me… 😘
