This song is so fun to play on drums. Its the type of song you can go all out on without worrying about weather or not you're doing too much. There's also soooo much room for improvisation. Clairvoyant is heavy but simultaneously elegant.
Dude, I had never seen any of your drum videos. Stopped here cause I finally started listening to Contortionist like 2 weeks ago, straight with Clairvoyant and I'm fucking obsessed with this album. I'm so impressed at your ability to play pretty much note-by-note according to what is on the album, and as a former drummer myself, find that to be so fucking respectful when you learn the time to learn all the small nuances that went into recording that performance. It's also respectful to the artist. On top of that, your energy was so fucking cool to watch that I good laughs watching this. The fact that I'm also even made it more enjoyable. Cheers, man!
Welp, color me thoroughly entertained. That's about the level of energy one needs to play anything written by Joey. If I can't get the solo content from him, imma need more of this
Damn Richie!! I found you through viewing guitar center drum off vids a year back. So nice to see you achieve your goals and it makes me want to practice harder and achieve mine as I started playing drums about a year ago! Can you go through your mic setup? This vid sounded pretty damn sick.
Saad Hameed Thanks a million for the awesome words! You’re great and it’s inspiring to hear the feedback! Keep rocking and enjoying every moment of it all!

I feel so odd... I really really enjoyed this album, but this particular song is one of my least favourite songs, not just off the album, but one of my least favourite songs that the contortionist have ever released. I don't understand what I'm missing that makes this song appeal to so many people. Still, the drums in this song are sick, and as always you absolutely killed it! Would love to see you do a playthrough of godspeed. The drums in that song are, to me, some of the most well composed of any song I've ever heard.
I agree, man! Drumming in the song (and especially in this video) is sick - but the overall song just works for me in the album concept. And i also agree with Godspeed, that song is so much to play - check out my attempt if you like!
Every so often i keep coming back to TH-cam to hear/watch someone play this song on drums. And this is IT when I want it.
Thank you again.

Walisson Ferreira Cruz yes what a crazy cover lots of energy
Precise, tight drumming. Gotta love the crack of the Wraith. Definitely a top 5 snare drum for me.
Thank you for the love! And yes, that Wraith is my favorite snare! Super sick!

It's easier
Delusions of grandeur are easier
What's the price of it?
[Verse 1]
What's the price of it?
We're only killing ourselves each and every day
Despite what we believe, there's a difference between
What isn't worth saving
[Bridge]
They'll offer silver and gold
The only colors they know
For these things they can't compose
'Cause they don't know what I know
[Verse 2]
We'd sell you our souls, but they're golden
And that's far too much for you
I'd sell you these words but I've sold them
As I'm sure you already know
You're clairvoyant (voyant)
You're clairvoyant (voyant)
You're clairvoyant (voyant)
You're clairvoyant (voyant)
You're clairvoyant (voyant)
Voyant
Voyant
Voyant
[Verse 3]
What's the price of it
If we kill ourselves a little bit?
Is it worth it?
Start is relative to end
This has no price attached to it
What's the price of it?
Fall (Fall)
Fall (Fall)
Fall (Fall)

Shane Clough what is it about this song that you don't like?
It used to be one of my least favorites on the album, but I grew to love it. I think that's mostly due to the latter half, which feels very cathartic.

I just creamed. Ps, my name is also Richie
That's a sick name.
Richie Martinez hell yeah brother ! How many Richies you know ? We are a rare breed
