Market Update 3/6/2022- The price of the tradeable t3 Mats have fallen a lot in the past few days and the price of the Excavation mats have risen. Now it's less profitable to make T3 maps in Stronghold. The main benefit of making maps is now the chance of getting the Rarer Craft Kits, so if you are a fan of chancing for the super rare rewards, t3 maps are still a good choice. Otherwise it's better to sell the loot from excavation. Wanted to post this quick update to let people know.
To get the better of beeing on T3 for excavating you should excavate in a T3 zone right? If you are T3 ilvl but excavate lets say in Azure Wind Island , will you ever get T3 excavate materials? Thanks for the video and the information YiGuy! :)
Something I feel you may have slept on a bit in regards to leap's essence: You can pop a leap's essence right before roughly every other 5x minigame for significant rewards while reducing how much life energy is burned on regular excavation. I think you'll find the returns are quite high with this method as excavation takes incredible advantage of it by ransoming the buff for those huge doubled minigame rewards.
does the rarity of your excavation tool/stats affect the chest rng from crafted maps? Idk if i've been super lucky but out of 20 maps I crafted I received 4 master craft kits. Currently using a relic tool btw

It is hard to find content where the creator actually cares. Really informative and to the point (I HATE those who start explaining 50 things at the same time clicking everywhere and doing it all just so fast you get lost) Keep up the good work :)
if you fail the mini game you can simply press ESC. then wait for the relic to disapear and dig it agian for another chance, just be warry of your mini game timer :)
So I have been doing excavating since launch and Im at lvl 39, here are the few things I did and noticed, I bought all the energy potions in Mari Shop (not sure if Gold/Crystal is worth on your server) I ginded to the Minigame skill as fast as possible and then did around 15 lvls over time on Azure Island saving most of my Mats and tried to save up lots of the potions for T3, When I got to T3 I crafted 28 Punika Maps which made me around 19k Gold(No Mastercraftkit drop sad) with mostly T3 Enhance stuff sold, I found my nice little spot where Im mostly alone at Night right now so I let you figure that spot out yourself I do not agree on the dog its the worst skill, never use it wasting so much energy, Minigame is where its at. Never use the Multiple Potion, 3k Energy wasted, these Mats you got there I get with
Lengthy video BUT I appreciated the in depth approach. Being broken up and everything you need was nice. I think the part about Mari items being worth it or not was huge for me. Maybe some T3 analysis on stuff like that? Great content, subbed :)

I went up 10 levels really fast in this (10-20 in 1 hour). Found a spot in Bilbrin forest and I would use my mount to get around using that sonar for the blip over my head and run around the map on my mount.

You didn't complete the either-or :D I am really missing that self-part. Otherwise extremely well made, indepth and easy to use video (time stamps). Luv it. These indepth and quality videos is what I am missing nowadays, I will subscribe and unsub some others. Well, I'm just a casual (I play about 3-4 days maybe per week max) but for investigating on what I want to know you seem to be the perfect fit, explaining for every level and all the way up. I take it step by step. The game has much potential for new players coming in and out, and this kind of video is what they will appreciate, when they are curious on Excavating. Getting better with it, and the best of what they can out of it. 11/10. (cause no one is perfect and this guide is as good as 11/10 otherwise IMO)
The craft kits are rewards from the crafted maps from stronghold, the higher rarity ones are super rare. (right now those maps are bit risky to make profitwise)
Great guide, but one request- please don't constantly pause the video you're watching. We're watching a video of you, and we can pause it to look at things if we need to. On the other hand, if you're pausing the video inside the video, we have no control of the pacing. Best way to do it if you need to talk about a specific segment is to let it play and loop that specific part.
Wow, thank you SO much for this video. I have been interested in getting life skills going as well as my Stronghold but I felt like I was missing something. This video answered everything I was looking for, and more, please keep up the awesome work.
I wish you put the map stuff in an excel or something. It's horribly unquantifiable in that gdoc, there is no separation between the snips to know what an average map actually drops. At today's prices your 20 map snip was about 6k value after 5% fee so call it 300g/map. That would mean roughly all oreha and half rare relics recoup required to break even which seems like a stretch or not really worth it even if it covers.
the price fluctuations are quite significant. I also got super unlucky with Excavation kits to be fair(getting 0 Legendary/Relic ones) The data def would be better in a spreadsheet though. No time for it atm between work/work on vids etc.
I would tell anyone excavating=minigame. If you hit 3/3 75+% of the time, on the minigame, it will always be worth it to buy the life energy from Mari's. If you hit 3/3 25% or less, it's not even worth levelling the skill it's useless to you. I do see that the relic tool would be minigame difficulty reduced by 5 if I am thinking about it correct, which would make it ABSOLUTELY worth it to craft this.

Sorry to hear about your frustration with Bots! If it makes you more hopeful, they're doing stuff to combat the bots now. Previously they were unprepared because in Korean Version you need your Citizen ID to register for game, so bots are practically impossible. In the western release they didn't do enough initially, but now they've changed the rewards in earlier continents.(which led to a lot of broken bot scripts, so if you see a ton of bots standing by same npc, it's cause their script no longer works) I'm hopeful they'll find more solutions in the future too.
T1-Golden Wave T2- Azure Wind T3-Nihatalop Problem is :O now that it's out, it won't be good cause too many people will go. but it shall be our secret.
amazing video, I also got the leap potion/old relic/perfect combo and got 600 gold in one hit - that was with a green tool. I have a minigame 3 Gold tool but might spam some purples for the normal digs.
i usually wait till mini game to use dog and leap essence so i don't have to waste all those energy on previous 5 digs. once you are finished with mini game. just sit for five mins before digging so you no longer waste additional energy on dog. took me a while to figure out its not worth to craft map until T3.

One thing to mention, if you buy a potion which x2 your durability/gain you save time, but you o x2 less excavations so less minigames
Less mini games but double the rewards. If you can get perfects it is worth it
I got a Expert craft kit and a Map from a chest i dug up! Feels good man!

For the blue crystals, you do get 95. The amount is originally 100, with the fees it becomes 95.
Ya, i was like no...you get 95 ,I do it multiple times a day... That said the fee is stupid and just makes math harder lol

Wild flowers give the most gold and sells fast because its the ingredient for Battle Potions.

Go to lullaby island to level gathering, mining and logging there, no mobs, would be interested to know a mob free place to do excavating?
Azure Wind is quite mob free, but might be contested because it's so good.

Try turning down the polling rate of your mouse to rid of that stuttering

i usually wait till mini game to use dog and leap essence so i don't have to waste all those energy on previous 5 digs. once you are finished with mini game. just sit for five mins before digging so you no longer waste additional energy on dog. took me a while to figure out its not worth to craft map until T3.
I went to blue wind island to excavate and ended up running around to horse dolls till I got stuck on the harmony song xD
