I loved the implication that Paula was so determined to play TI4 that she convinced herself it could be done during commercial breaks. You know, as one does for light filler games such as TI4.
I think many of us would kill for even a single friend that is as excited about board gaming (and big board gaming!) as you are in this video. To have a table full of them is the dream.

Oh damn, haha! Not being from the USA it went completely by me that there's another big game! So the punchline caught me completely by surprise.
Well, there are Big Games in many countries and sports. If it had been baseball, they could watch the game during breaks in the board game.
I died and had to pause at the "It's a planet!" moment, and the "I wrote a song!", because I just couldn't believe you went to the costume. I feel so understood. 😂😂😂

It's funny. My wife has hosted a board game night during the Super Bowl for the last seven years. It was sad to not have that this year, but hopefully we'll restart that tradition next year.

That opening montage made me legitimately feel like you were going to war, but you knew you were on the good guy side so you're protected by plot armor.
The rest of it got increasingly awkward, and it's amazing how you can make the audience feel a very specific way just because they already know how it ends. Plus those end credits alone were worth the price of admission.

I wish I had a friend as into gaming as you are. I've always wanted to play TI... but there's no hope. No one I know has the mental capacity for it :(

People ask me about the super bowl every year, and I always forget it exists. I never watched it and never cared to, to the amazement of my family and friends who don't know me that well. xD
I remember one day I was returning something to a store and commented on the girl's pretty eye shadow colors. I knew it was the local sports team's colors and commented that fans would probably appreciate it. She looked at me quizzically and mentioned a game that day. I said, "Oh! Is there a game today?" people turned, jaws dropped, eyes bulged, and you could hear crickets chirp, lol.

During one Super Bowl a few years ago it was a blowout so we started playing party games like A Fake Artist Goes to NY. Then we looked up and somehow The Patriots had taken the lead from The Falcons.
It’s always polite to stay to the end.
The year before last, I actually got 5 others to play King of Tokyo at the Super Bowl party that I was hosting. Hey, it's not Twilight Imperium, but that ain't bad, if I do say so myself! I love football AND board games.
Imagine a (TI) game day with youtubers like Paula, special commercials by big publishers and hosting a party to watch it^^
What a horrible ending! If this happened to me i dont know if id recover. But thanks for sharing, I think this will really help people who are friends with people who like sports. Thank you for showing them that they are not alone. 🤗🤗 And neither are you Paula.
