3 things: your back stabilizing legs should have been facing forward not backwards, this is the reason they contacted with the ground when they did. The Black Jack has a manual crank handle to retract and extend the leg, the crank point is under the plastic round cover at the top of the Black Jack. The usual reason the Black Jack won’t lift or lower is the switch is cheap crap and the plastic pins inside the switch can’t handle the constant load and melt - new replacement switch is the only answer. Would also be interested what Jayco said about fitting lifting jacks to a van that has not been designed for the extra load at those points. Like the idea though.

These are fitted on our motorhome,the up-swing is great for travel but not so if you have limited ground clearance on some sites, won't allow the legs to drop if it can't straighten out,some places I've had to dig holes for the foot to settle into 😢
The jack comes with a manual handle………..! Just for this purpose. .?please… think before you jump…. Try Bos much better and you can use it to change your tyres!
