Port of Trieste in Italy was a part of Austria back then. Ships direct to Liverpool. Toxteth known as little Austria.

My grandad god rest his soul was a bit of an old scouse tinker and a scrap man. He told me when I was younger all the time that near lodge Lane there had been a very old German Mercedes been wheeled out of a garage. Maybe a tall tale but me grandad used to always say Hitler had been in Liverpool.

He couldn’t speak English so I doubt it’s true, because even if he made the stupid decision of moving to a country for five freaking months speaking a language he new nothing of, (which is plausible as he was known for making some stupid decisions) surely he’d learn at least some of it whilst he was there.

He had family living in Liverpool, Liverpool had a very big German community at the time and he was a homeless dropout it's perfectly plausible that he may have couch surfed with his elder brother for a while. Plus Liverpool was a major global centre at the time.

I quite agree. In addition, whilst Hitler wasn’t exactly teetotal, he certainly didn’t drink in the way it is portrayed he did in this film. Sitting in Peter Cavanagh’s pub, supping ale on his own. No, it just doesn’t cut the mustard in my view.

It was his half-brother, Aloysius. He was a pastry chef, although he made out he enjoyed much more than such a lowly occupation.
He claimed untruthfully to be a hotel proprietor, but he did other jobs whilst in U.K.
Whatever he turned his hand to, however, (e.g. salesman), he was not a success. Could best be described as a waste of space, in my opinion.
Later he was successfully prosecuted for bigamy. He married a second time back in Germany whilst still very much married to Bridget Dowling.

There is a quote from a video which Hitler talks about the english language, "the english language lacks the ability to express thoughts" This quotes suggests that Hitler at least studied the english language enough to form an opinion all be it an insultive opinion.
