Fantastic work sir and greetings from Tennessee! I love your layout - the lighting *really* enhances the immersion for both operating sessions and photo sessions alike.

Thank you very much! Yes I think lighting and sound both help add to the realism. Thanks for watching from the other side of the pond

Good luck with your railway. I have also watched lots of videos, that’s what has inspired me to make some as well and it is really nice to know that they are helping others on the model railway journeys 😃

Thanks, took quite a bit of work, especially as it was the first time I have soldered but I learnt a new skill and think it was worth it in the end. Cheers Mark

Hi Mark. Very useful video. I was going to comment on the intensity of the lights inside the station and the cafe coach, but you say they don't look so bright when viewing them in person.

Hi Paul, thanks, no they are not too bad. I was worried because the led strips has to be cut in 3, I think ideally 2 would be sufficient for the smaller buildings. So for future buildings I think I will look for strips that allow me to do that or buy the individual LED lights. Still it’s all learning and isn’t that bad. Thanks for watching.

@@chappelstation Hi Mark. Other alternatives are to use a variable voltage power supply or add a resistor to reduce the intensity.

@@chappelstation you have a lovely layout there
and for the led strips just use a pwm module and you can dim the led as you wish hope this helps
      regards

Lights make a huge difference don’t they….I wire my lights similar to your method, I’m a first time builder and like you said it is easier than it looks….nice layout by the way
