That is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing, Irene! I'd like a little more snow than we get, but don't know how I'd like it being around all the time until the spring thaw. I may love it🤷🏻♂️ excited for y'all👍🏻
Buy two snowmobiles and a trailer for them and run up and you and your wife can go out for the first time together. That would be awesome. I am so excited for you guys!
I highly recommend a snowblower for the tractor. Best way to handle the deep snow. Next best option is a snowblower on an ATV, UTV, or pickup truck. That way you don't get the snowbanks piled up by the plow. By the way, most of us guys find women that are way better looking than we are. Definitely a snowmobile is in order! They are so so so much fun!
That's why I moved to Florida 7 years ago during the snowstorm in Dallas, Georgia. I literally left Ga with about 2 feet of snow on the ground and didn't go back except to visit family once a year. Good luck with all that in New York. LOL
Yep i used to think it was fun and beautiful too! Now its just work and alot of it! Ive had a ton of snowmobiles and thats pretty fun but i sold them all! Make sure you get the full experience and get a turbo sled!
Same here man, rode everything but a snowmobile. Looks fun as hell. I heard the same thing with the ice racing setup, it’s cool how you get more traction than pavement.
Go with a little newer machine if possible. They change the design on them to a rider forward design and it sets more like a ATV four wheeler. I think 2004 and up and I’d recommend 700 to 800cc. Your gonna want the power running with two people and honestly, it’s just a hell of a lot more fun. It’s like a crop rocket for the snow. With your background you would take to the newer style machine like a fish to water.
I use an air cooled 1995 yamaha phazer. With a studded track. I'm on Lake St. Clair. And I'm an ice fisherman. I can run on glare ice. You will dig it.
Depends, if you buy touring machines and just go for slow rides and use ice fishing ect they’re great. I’m beyond thr racing around at 80-100 mph on my 700 now
Yo start off w / a 2 stroke sled, (snowmobile). There easier to work on and there a blast. Get the right clothes and have fun. I split my year, northern MI. now & southern MI. in the warm months. Yamaha sleds rule. Your choice.
It's good to have both I live in Alaska and air-cooled especially a vintage sleds with boggies are light and you can ride them on the packed snow and ice .The issue with liquid cool you need fresh snow or you run the risk of over heating ...The old sleds make good work rigs both will beat the hell out of you if your riding trails.
Fans are just fine and usually go way more miles before a rebuild because they don’t crank them up as much. I had a 1997 xcf 440 that had 10,000 miles on it and the engine was never apart or worked on other than clutches and few sets of plugs. One set of shocks and 3-4 sets of slides. Still would do 80-85 mph on average day and faster in cold yes that was speedometer reading that weren’t super accurate in the day but it was fast enough. The newer liquid cooled sleds require a damn rebuild at 3-5000 a lot of times depending how big of a machine you buy. The 800-900 class wear out fairly quick because they’re making 150-170 hp. A 600-650 may do 5000 miles or so but fans regularly do 8-13000 miles.
@@christopherlehman4045 I have a 1972 cheetah that originally came with a 340 .I ended up sticking a used 440 in it and that was over 24 ago still runs the only thing I've had to change is spark plugs and clutch belts and that's basically it
get a 2012 rev ski Doo or newer. 3k maybe 4k for a newer on. don't waste your time with the old chit in the weeds . it ain't worth the time. if u use to ride race motocross you want a rev. with nitrogen piggy backs. u will get 20 younger as soon as I get on it.. two days later you will feel 30 years older but u be smiling. PS we grow primo NUGS in NY for when you cant move after a 100 mile ride
👍👍 you can get on Facebook marketplace without being on Facebook. I do it all the time. If I actually want to buy something. I asked my wife to get a hold of them. Just Google Facebook marketplace Jamestown.
Absolutely beautiful! My wife and I want a bit more snow than where we live now. I am a bit jealous
👍🏻 Joe. Aside from Goliath, when we got 20", we're lucky to get more than 2-4" a couple times a year.

@@aaronpowell4885 hello man. Ya, We either get lots or very little dusting. Often we get ice instead.

Really like the 56” blower on front of my John Deere 2025r, cab is very nice if running a blower too.
Brand new world for you guys. Have fun!

You need to invest in an old four-wheel drive with a snow plow good luck man the snow is beautiful

Snowmobiles are crazy hard to master after riding wheelers and bikes, but they r a blast !!

I'm up near you Boedy in that lake effect band! I got an extra sled to ride! Let's hit some trails!
Beautiful, my family had a lake house on Guffin's Bay Lake Ontario. We live in Dingmans Ferry Pa.
Snowmobiles get old faster than any toy.

@ yeah once u have kids they are just not worth the risk of 1000cc rippin. If u need one for utility that’s great. I’m jealous then. 😂
Wait until April or May to buy two sleds. One two up and one more modern ripper.
I vote for a Polaris XCR 800.
Fast but big and heavy, handle not so great on the trials and will wear you out.

dude you do not want air cooled liquid. an Xtra 2k will make you smile. don't buy that old chit

Gonna have to invest in a good snowblower Jason!!! A four wheel drive for her as well....
I just got my tractor back from the dealer yesterday. They had it for a couple of weeks fitting it with a snow blower. 😁
Maybe the channel includes some newly acquired toys. Cab tractor with heat, snowplow, snowblower, tire chains... etc! Welcome to snow country.
Like I told your husband you bought a house in a snow belt , you'll get crazy amounts of snow living there .
Better get you an old 4wd truck on 33s or 35s lol
Port it body port it 😂😂😂
I think TH-cam auto deletes FB links.
I hope your wife has snow tires on her car.
Yes get snow tires if you don't have them already. You will have significantly better traction than all seasons.
that sled in the weeds is scrap weight.
look for 2012-2015 skidoo rev mxz you want a 600 or 800 after a year give 600 to wife and get a 800 same model
Ugh. Every winter than comes makes me hate it even more. And so will you guys. I’m sorry.
ya do not want a 2 up. trust me. been monkey stompin the trails since the 70s
you will only ride double one time.
Strong leafblower works to clear snow off walkways, decks, driveway etc. Notice how peaceful and quiet it is during and after big snow.
Its 4x4 country
