Just got mine in eminent white Rx 350 L, it's as smooth as butter and so quiet I get sleepy driving home from work...the best part.. 87 regular is all you need.
Great review as always! While there are many competitors in this segment, I'd only consider leasing them. For a longer term purchase, the Lexus is my 1st choice. I have a 2016 RX350 Luxury Package and it's been a dream machine, 100% reliable, and is the nicest SUV I've ever owned. It's a keeper!
Great look at this Lexus RX 350, I just received mine here in Australia we do get a few extra features ie 20' rims, head up display, panoramic roof and fog lights and key card. It's my 4th Lexus and think this is my favourite, we wanted comfort, room and ride quality and this delivers in spades. Excellent review thanks.
We owned the original RX, drove it into the ground. Loved it. Meanwhile, Lexus has only upped its game. The 2021 RX is for my wife, I have the GX which I love, and now she has hers. We have been all Lexus since '93 and glad we paid the extra price. Few problems and when there was, the dealer was sterling in their reactions. Done for life we are. Really looking forward to the 100% EV's coming soon.
@@Sona77. I understand many of the parts are interchangeable with Toyota. It is however more heavily insulated from engine and road noise, and the interiors are more luxurious. Like Toyota's, they never have mechanical issues, which helps make the higher price far easier to digest. Going back and forth to the repair shop is very expensive in time and energy. ;-)
Excellent video. I just purchased the RX350 luxury model this afternoon and will receive it on Monday. I learned lots of new things from you that our salesman didn't go over yet with us. Thanks so much! I'm excited about our new purchase.
I love that it still has a CD player. For someone that still plays CDs they have become almost extinct in new cars. The Toyota 4runner is a dinosaur yet they removed the CD player in 2020
My last RX still had a cassette player. Toyota took forever to add Apple Car Play and Android Car Talk. They are ssslllooowwww to change their electronics.
Thanks for this video. Coming from a base 2017 Santa Fe Sport all the extra options seem fun, but overwhelming on this car I pick up later this week. Appreciate you taking the time out to explain!
@TheSpiritRoom23 love the car and no issues but I don't drive a ton. Leased in Sept 2021 and only have 12k miles. I do love it so much I intend on purchasing when lease is done.
Own 2022 rx 450h fully loaded. And just got a 2022GX 460 ff(sports package). While both look great I would say matt finish is the best. All my friends and family admire its presence. Even during dinner and barbecue. While rx poster (4x6ft) is in the living room, I have got the gx poster(also 4x6ft)in the dining room. So the gas guzzler can be fed as and when needed. Love them both! Edit: rx is 2021
I just got back from Lexus and they had a demo with 1025 miles. They had a list price of 55,000 and change and because it was a demo marked down to almost 52,000. They are charging way more than they should be because of the chip shortage.Cant deal with this until the chip shortage is over!
Great review, Wish you discussed AWD option and it's impact on mpg. Also, you did not report if the moon roof option has road noise over and above standard without moon roof. I own a Rav 4 limited and it's moon roof is excessively noisey. Also no mention of towing capacity and if this model can take a hitch for boaters.
I have a problem with my 2021 rx350. When the navigation and the radio is on. When the navigation talks to give directions, the radio volume does not mute. Hope you can help me with this. Thank you.
I just tested the RX against the Acura RDX and MDX, both of which impressed me. The RX blows them both away. I've been an Acura owner, but this time, I'm switching to Lexus. (BTW. GP, they appear to have made more things, such as the sunroof and heated seats, standard since your review.)
Just curious to know how and why you think it blows away the Acura. I agree with you by the way but just wanted to know if you observed the same things in comparing the two vehicles as I did.
Does the tire pressure monitoring system tell you which tire is low in the event one is low? In the 2008 model it simply tells you a tire is low which in my 2008 RX350 is often the spare. Frustrating. Also, do they offer remote car starter? TY!
I bought new RX350 2021 last month. I find its acceleration to be erratic. Sometimes with little pressure on gas pedal it is fine, sometimes i have to press it hard. I stop at signal and start all other cars will go past me. Little uphill it slows down more then expected. Anyone has similar issues??? I previously drove Toyota Venza, Toyota Sienna and Toyota Camry never had such problems.
Thank you, I just got mine last week and it does the same thing, at low speeds it wants to shift then bog down, I traded in a 14 Toyota Avalon with the same engine, but rated lower hp and it flies, this vehicle doesn’t, I’m going back to the dealer
The new 8 speed transmission is an adaptive one, it learns from your driving habits and it usually smooths out after a couple hundred miles of driving. You can also have the shift logic software updated at the dealer if you still have concerns.
My 2020 does do what your describing! I believe the transmission logic is tuned for gas efficiency! This being said, if you want more aggresive trans shifting that is what the mode selector is for! Put in “sport” mode & it will shift faster, albeit, at the price of lower gas mileage!👍
@@davidkirkham6497 I took it back a second time, they had me drive it while they had a computer hooked up to it. They found it was going into 8th gear at 25mph thus bogging down. Almost 300hp but still takes almost 8 seconds to get to 60. Feels very sluggish. That's also quite a bit slower than similarly powered SUVs from X5, Q7 etc. What's going on

You would think most of those options would come standard on any 2021 luxury vehicle.
