    I will say, Fabio earned Purple Kelly's vote. She may have quit, but she was really suffering out there. She was a recruit who wasn't allowed to wear clothes. Fabio loaned her his jacket. I like the idea that simple kindness can net you a vote.

      @@vaporterra He has one of the most bizarre paths to victory but you should give credit to a man who both won three clutch immunities in a row to put himself at the final tribal, and really won over the jury with his final tribal performance. I will always say that every survivor winner has merit in their victory, and Fabio is no exception! There's just no denying though that his victory is a strange one in the history of this show, even if it is one many people love, myself included!

    Ozzy’s performance on Cook Islands really was impressive. He was way more than a challenge beast! The man has an ego but credit where credit is due!
    I would love to see Hannah come back for a second season, she was just a lovely presence on her season I am curious to see how she would fair a second time knowing she would probably once again be underestimated!

      When I was watching this, my first thought when hannah came up was that I'd love to see her back on a returning season. I think she showed a lot of chops for the game, and I think she could do really well on her second time playing. I feel like she would be underestimated and that she would be able to slip by to the merge and then really start to play

    • @JRJuggernaut1
      @JRJuggernaut1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@emeraldbyrne4097 what's interesting is that many players often struggle as a returning player because they often can't get away with being underestimated twice. Take Kelley Wentworth, she played fantastically in Cambodia, but she also might not have performed as well if she wasn't such a lacking presence in her first season. Jeremy, by contrast, completely changed his strategy knowing he had to if he wanted any chance to make it far into the merge! Hannah, though, I think she could absolutely get away with being underestimated a second time, because she played a strong game, but not one that made her an obvious threat even in retrospect. Either way, I would love to see what she could do on a second attempt!

    • @emeraldbyrne4097
      @emeraldbyrne4097 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JRJuggernaut1 yes to all of this!! Fantastic points about Jeremy and wentworth. I think with Hannah, she has this perception of playing maybe a messy and ‘emotional’ game, where her agency and moves were questioned. I could just see players on the island forgetting just how well she maneuvered in season 33. I definitely would like another second chance season in the 40s, and Hannah is on my dream list of returners for that season

    • @JRJuggernaut1
      @JRJuggernaut1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@emeraldbyrne4097 thank you, I tried to make sure my explanation was easy to follow and both of those players are great examples of how two players can have very different but successful returning performances! As for Hannah, I always figured that because her game was not so flashy, it was harder for the jury to connect and see her as the strong force within the game that Adam was. Unlike other seasons where you could point out possible sexism in relation to how the jury perceived two different gendered finalists' games, this just felt like it came down to Adam playing a higher profile game, while Hannah was definitely in the forefront, but not so much that the jury felt she was a major presence. I think Peridiam said it best, Adam's game was all about being in control of the game, but never being the biggest threat. He always made sure that other bigger players would be taken out first! Still, respect to Hannah's game, which is easy to overlook but commendable all the same!

    Just want to point out that Spencer had actually lost Kass' vote for his response. If you watch the "The Jury Speaks" segments, Kass states that she wants Spencer to acknowledge that he was wrong and that her way of playing (Chaos Kass) was not a game with "Zero percent chance of winning". While Spencer does show humility, he fails to acknowledge Kass' feelings as it seems that his remarks about her game really hurt her.

    Chase had the best Final Tribal Council performance relative to his overall game, which was pretty weak. He was so good that he actually forced Fabio to step his game up in response, and Fabio delivered with a very good performance of his own. Ultimately, though, Chase was one of the most wishy-washy players in Survivor history. So it wasn't enough, thankfully. Fabio is a million times more entertaining and frankly the perfect winner for the underrated gem of a season known as Survivor Nicaragua.

    My favorite moment Aubry's performance was when Michelle tried to take credit for a move, and Aubry straight up asked her if she knew what was going to happen at that tribal, to which Michelle replied no, invalidating everything she had just said. Aubry made an absolute fool out of Michelle and honestly that exchange alone should have won her the game.

    • @funkycrawler619
      @funkycrawler619 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      I had to rewatch that question (and the whole FTC) before I responded but overall Aubry gave a strong performance, but Michele was def stronger in terms of articulating her growth and tying it into the theme as well as understanding how the jury perceived her game and argued it incredibly well. With the specific question you are referring to, Aubry shot herself in the foot with asking if Michele knew Cydney was getting votes BEFORE (Yes, Aubry asked Michele before she responded to Cydney's comment though I doubt it weakened Michele's response it def made it stronger) since Michele was able to reaffirm her social bond with Cydney AND make note of two key things (1) Michele could've flipped on Cydney for fire-making. She didn't. Regardless if she knew or not, Michele had the power to determine fire-making or not at that power probably got her 1 jury vote (2) Michele was then able to tell Cydney she would've saved her (which she even did with her actions) or fight to save her had she known. Quite honestly, it fits her narrative since Aubry/Tai wanted to keep Michele out the loop but Michele was able to make moves for her game that benefitted her and hindered Aubry who admitted she wanted Michele out but couldn't get her out (which happened a lot in the end game). Michele didn't even try to take credit for anything in regards to that specific question your referring to but she definiately turned Aubry's attempt to hinder her game into a pro for her game and honestly was probably Aubry's weakest part of her FTC.

      On one hand I get that the edge was used as a way to keep the big and memorable cast relevant the entire season, but I wish they just made the jury bigger instead of having the edge. As much as I was happy Chris won his season, that's more so because his competition did not outperform him in the final tribal. Natalie though I feel didn't do enough to justify her win over Tony and Michele knowing both of them played really strong games. Natalie played well, but she wasn't entitled to that win, and while I can understand the frustration of losing, she should put it in perspective that she made it that far despite initially being the first player voted out. In most seasons, she would have been done then and there, or if there had been redemption island, she at least would have had to win a bunch of duels to make it back! She definitely did not know. She thought she did so much to get to the end, when the truth was she mainly only got there by winning the final immunity. Besides that she was given an idol, found another, and never had much control over the game. Plus, the fact that Natalie was the first boot meant she contributed to the game the least out of all the players who had the chance to return to the game! I applaud her efforts and that she was close to winning, but Natalie almost felt entitled to win even against Michele and Tony and that never sat well with me even as a big fan of hers!
      Imo, if Natalie truly understood the position she was in coming back to the game, she would have done what Chris did and challenged Tony to firemaking to both eliminate her biggest threat and maximize her chances of winning. Chris took Rick out knowing he needed to make a big move to win and he did it because he knew without it his game wouldn’t have much merit. Natalie needed to recognize that as well but instead she decided she could win against anyone in that jury, which was obviously the wrong move! Love Natalie as a player but her game sense was way off here!

    VIDEO SUGGESTIONS!!!
    Both are in the same vein as these performance videos you've been doing recently, which I have been LOVING!
    1) " *Best NORMAL Tribal Council Performances that Changed the Vote AT Tribal Council* ." Basically people who were definitely going home or were about to see an alliance member go home, but their comments and arguments at tribal council flipped the vote at the last second.
    2) On the flip side, " *Best Losing NORMAL Tribal Council Performances that ALMOST Changed the Vote AT Tribal Council* " maybe? This one may be a little too ambitious because there are a LOT of contenders, but, like, people who were on the chopping block and put up quite a good fight at tribal council and made a lot of people really think and consider what they said before the vote and afterwards and maybe really changed the game with what they said, but they still got voted out because they were doomed already by being too big of a threat or the vote already being decided with not enough people feeling comfortable switching their vote without being able to talk to their alliance or whatever.

    An interesting video could be about missed opportunities in FTC.
    Aubry had a missed opportunity when she talked to Sydney. She could have pointed out that they wrote each other’s names down because they were the two biggest threats. That would have complimented both herself and Sydney and maybe even won Sydney and a couple other votes.
    I think Ozzy made a mistake by referring to himself as the Yul of his original tribe. He needed to differentiate himself from Yul, but that answer just made him look like Yul literally.
    There were a lot of missed opportunities in the classic era. Earl is the first person to tell an ally who would have beaten anyone at FTC, that he voted him (Yauman) out because he wouldn’t win against him. So many previous players just danced around the question. But that’s why Earl is one of the best winners with one of the best FTC.

    NO SPOILERS...but just to make double-sure, I'm-a do the four spaces thing.
    10. WHY do I find them to be THE MOST attractive person to ever play? No, literally, I DON'T GET IT. But the fact that I like to look at them aside, I really wish this had netted the win...sigh. Intelligence can't always be appreciated, I guess...(goes off to pout).
    9. Did this game help them AT ALL with the living situation? I wonder whether I could find out. Gods know that if anyone ever needed the money, they did.
    8/7: Frankly, I want to see ANYONE beat (insert winner's name here) at a Final Tribal. Now THAT would be a worthy performance.
    6. All of my love for this first time around, but it only went downhill from here. Poor them. But no, by the way, they're not stupid. It's just that they're SO physical that it might outweigh the intelligence factor for viewers.
    5. They definitely own their game with grace, but considering who won, NO ONE was going to win otherwise, I'm sorry.
    4/3: Okay...I had brain damage that lasted through multiple seasons in the mid-30's range, so I don't remember this too well, unfortunately. I DO remember that I didn't want that particular winner, but I'm fine with them now. Going off what they say here, though, they have some excellent-sounding resumes.
    2. WHT?! Alright...I'll hear you out. Make it good. (After she hears you out), okay, I forgot about more than half those things. You make an excellent argument, sir. And anyways, better them that the OTHER runner-up...
    1. Sigh...I was fine with who won, nothing against them or their game, but like I said for #10, can we appreciate intelligence a bit more? Well, no, that's not fair: A LOT of really smart people have won this game. I shouldn't overgeneralize. I suppose it had to do with who stepped on the fewest toes.

    I swear, I want to like Chrissy for how hard she played to make that final tribal, along with tying the woman’s record for individual immunities, but her constant childish complaining about her loss, even 6 years later is ridiculous…. To really highlight how ridiculous she is, she tried to use Jesse’s defeat in S43 to illustrate how badly she was robbed. Now whatever you think about her season, the fact is Jesse didn’t lose because of the fire making twist, if anything it gave him a shot at winning he wouldn’t have had otherwise! Hard to believe a woman in her 50’s can still act like a child throwing a temper tantrum. Just take the loss and move on, most finalists have done that 🙄

      To be quite frank, they learned from aubry's edit and made it clear to why Chrissy lost but truthfully Ben winning really shouldn't have happened lol.
