    Hi, Thanks for the information you provided, to connect LCD display you have to connect +V red wire and -V black wire to bike battery 48V and for speed meter to run is to connect yellow wire of the display to motor 3 phase connection to yellow wire, once you run the motor you will work giving speed indication how fast is running.
    Good luck.

    I was wondering if, since the regenerative braking seems to be a process of bridging the brake wires to reverse the motor and cause it to slow going forward, could bridging it while the motor is at a standstill be a way to get reverse direction out of the motor when you next energize its wires? I bought this same kit to fabricate an electric outboard motor and I was hoping it would have reverse. Don't really need brakes on a boat, of course.

    The two black wires on the screen are for measuring 48v battery or 60v when you connect them or disconnect , to know the charging value .
    I have a question please :
    This motor is without gear inside .. so it is a low torque , high speed motor . So do you think it will work on scooter or small car with small tire diameter , even you put 40t chain wheel on the wheel ? Will it drive on steeps ???
    If yes , does it work on ebike 20inch or just with small wheels ?!
    Thanks

    Hi, regarding the speed display what you can do is connect the wire that is responsible for the speed from the screen to one of the phases or the green or blue of the motor, and you will see that the display will change the speed, but be aware, as soon as you stop pressing the button the speed will decrease, the speed that will appear is will be measured according to the amount of current that passes through the motor but not the true speed at which the wheel is moving, for example let's say you are driving right now and then release the button, what will happen is that the speed you see on the display will not show the speed that the wheel is really traveling, it will look like 0 when the wheel still continues to turn, And unfortunately I also did not find a solution to this problem unless you connect an external sensor to the wheel and then connect it to the screen and only then can you see an accurate speed.

      I connect the white wire from the speed signal to the blue wire from the motor phase, and this gives a speed reading when I twist the throttle, but it also keeps reading the speed without twisting the throttle, it also does it if I just push the scooter and the motor is turning and the scooter is on

    One more thing your motor is operating at 100%, your 3 speed switch if you short that out you will eaither get 50% power or 120% power. So if you want a speed boost short the 3 speed to 120% for an extra boost 🤔😉

    for this display, the yellow wire is for speed. should be connected to the controller one of the wire in purple colour. the label usually in Chinese is 一线通 or 仪表线(速度信号) meaning Gauge wire (speed signal).
    the pair of black colour wire when connected together mean only use 60V battery. if not connect, 48V~72V battery also can use. At some controller also have pair of black wire can connected to each other. That is so call 自学习线meaning self-learning wire, usually for after complete assembled the whole system and testing. After done, you can disconnect it.

    • @AlexK1828
      @AlexK1828 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Regarding the self-learning wire: after the assembly is completed, connect the self-learning wire first, then turn the accelerator handle to let the motor rotate and keep it, pay attention to the direction of rotation, if the direction of rotation is reverse, disconnect the pair self-learning wires while still rotating, At this time, the motor will stop automatically, and then reconnect again. At this time, the motor should rotate forward as correct direction, and then disconnect the self-learning wires. At this point the procedure is completed.
      If when beignning of test the motor already turns forward as correct direction, just disconnect the self-learning wires to complete the test procedure. This is for save time no need to rewiring if the motor installed as wrong turnning direction. BTW, some controller the pair of self-learning wire is in white colour.

    • @bennysgarageau
      @bennysgarageau  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps, not 100 percent sure, because you are going down in voltage, the supply will be fine, it only depends on if the board has a low voltage trigger, this may be present to protect battery, because the board is designed for 48v, the input would be a desired 48v. I would test it and see. Worst case you have to buy a new 36v controller

    • @bennysgarageau

      Short answer for battery output, 1000w works fine, I believe the controller works like an inverter, 54 volts were going into it, and I was getting 48 at the isolator, this means it is controlling output, my battery was rated to 1000w but operated perfectly during a test run, ill do a full video on the battery i have soon. Yellow phase wire with yellow phase wire

      Green phase wire with green phase wire
      Yellow phase wire with yellow phase wire
      Blue phase wire with blue phase wire
      but in hall sensor wires you change it:
      blue phase wire with green phase wire
      green phase wire with blue phase wire
      yellow phase wire with yellow phase wire.
      until you get everything right.
      Dont touch the red and black hall sensor wires as it is the power wires. (5v if I am not mistaking it).

      The connector with black and brown wires is the reverse control. Connect them together to reverse motor direction.

      “Hey ma, but it’s only 200 watts more?!”
      Here’s a trick…. Just upgrade the motor controller to a 3000 watt bldc (make sure it has hall sensor)
      These motors are rated at “1800” however you can easily push 3000 watts with a motor controller upgrade and be safe. Most motors can withstand 2x up to 4x rated power but I’d say 3000 is safe with this vevors. They are well built, not the best but by no means cheapest they are quality and can take a beating.
      On eBay you can find them around $50 cheaper versions but I tell you they will do the job just try and find one that has the most “mosfet” count you can within your budget and you will see those things screaming.
      (Currently I run the 1800w vevor I bought used and it’s running a 3500 watt brushless motor with hall and it screams past my brothers who has the full stock motor and controller 1800 watt from vevor.
      Cheers! 🎉

    my controller is a 48v 2000w and i am trying to get it to turn my motor, i've hooked up power red and black, 3 phases to the motor, hall sensors and power up wire, i have throttle wired and it is active. i have control voltage feeding into the controller but motor is getting nothing! could this be bad controller from new? and do any of the other wires coming out of the controller need to be hooked up to run it?

      @@lincolnhausman7025 after looking at a few more possible wiring setups on youtube i figured out i had 1 more red wire to make hot, but that was too late, i had already tried jumping something else together and got a big spark! never good to get a big spark, i may have ruined mine by jumping something together too quickly, i think it's trash now. $50 lost in the learning.good luck with yours

    Tengo estas caracteristicas, tengo una bateria de 48v 10Ah y un motor de 480W y el display es el mismo que el tuyo tiene 3 opciones de operacion del motor 1,2,3 y la pantalla es la misma puede operar con 36v y 48v y 60v mi pregunta es si puedo cambiar mi pila por una de triple capacidad de amperaje y solo usando el nivel dos de operación ¿afectaría a mi motor de capacidad de 500w?, lo que busco es una mayor autonomia pero la unica opciones en la que pense fue sustitutir la bateria y checar que el controlar resistiera el amperaje o hacer un arreglo con un relevador y poner un swich y otra bateria externa de modo que cuando quiera ocupar la otra bateria solo presiono el swich y ocupo la otra bateria
    Al utilizar tu motor de 48v 2000W y colocarle la banda lo que hacer es un sistema reductor cierto? osea la potencia que tendra la rueda sera mucho menor a los 2000w que entrega el motor?

    • @josegerardohuescamorales2808
      @josegerardohuescamorales2808 ปีที่แล้ว

      Puedes cambiar la batería por una de mayor amperaje y no afecta en nada siempre que siga siendo del mismo voltaje, una batería de mayor amperaje te dará más duración de tu batería
