Just casually clicking around, opening terminal windows, selecting text, realizing that all of this had to be painstakingly coded by a few enthusiasts literally from bare metal up blows my mind.
Thanks for the updates, I just miss the coding videos ... :(, that what I subscribed for originally... Looks like Andreas is moving away from SerenityOS and only concentrating on Ladybird now. I used to love the channel for the coding ... I am happy that the project is moving along ... but watching monthly update videos is not really the same...
That's not really true, he's working on SerenityOS and that includes Ladybird and the whole environment. He simply is not a big content creator to pump out videos all the time
Thank you very much for the video. I appreciate your effort to explain things during the first 8 minutes of the video! I still don't get it though, but I appreciate! Cool stuff.
not flashing?! :D are you kidding? you guys are finding bugs compilers!... if that is not flashing.. then I am afraid to ask.. how flashy is looking for you? lol...
VoxeLibre would work if the Minetest game engine gets ported on the OS. It needs way less resources compared to Minecraft, so it should be snappy on SerenityOS.
Andreas lookin a bit different today 🤔
😂😂
New glasses or something I dunno
@@Dan-km8zy I think he grew some beard
it's a new haircut
He just didn't shave

I just made a video covering SerenityOS! I'd love to hear your thoughts
Nice video!

@@kreuner11 never said anything about "big content creator pumping out videos", read my comment again.
Slight clarification that cubiclove simply made the icon for the Screenshot application, so I credited them in the commit.

God damn Andreas grew hair again and a beard!
10:29 FAT12 is used on floppies.
Beautiful
You should check out if the loop device works to make a fat file system and try to write to it 🤔

Not until someone works on that
There is some work on Haiku for this also but its pretty much stalled again it appears.
i don't think there is any hardware gpu support as of now, and that is until someone goes out and works on one
@@yeppiidev there's some Intel framebuffer support
@@kreuner11 i was talking about discrete graphics
nvidia drivers can be installed ?
a little ot but i spontaneously wondered how a dark cairo ui would look like…
What's good hardware these days if you want to use SerenityOS to operate a real system, not a VM?
Honestly not a lot is supported, but an older computer with the right characteristics might work
Can it play Minecraft?
If the Java port is functional enough (if at all), maybe? But almost certainly no
classicube works

Is anyone actually using this os?
Nice question.
Nice question.
Thanks.
Thanks.
The developers are making it for fun
