2009 Château Grand Puy Lacoste, Pauillac - 25th April 2021

Caspar Bowes of Bowes Wine tastes this modern classic vintage of Grand Puy Lacoste and confesses to being a bit mystified by it. Returning to it the next day (with a glassful left in the bottle) he found it to be pretty oxidised, suggesting the wine doesn't have that long a life ahead of it (and making him wonder whether this wasn't the best bottle of this wine).
