I bought myself a 2024 model and have already driven 6500 km, chose from M60 or XM, but I live in China and diler no import M60 model, XM i fill to luxury and not about dinamic car. X5M Competition for daily using are very good actually, fill solid suspension but personally it puts me in a good mood for the whole day. I'm 43 years old and I still feel 30 years old in this car)

very confident car, never experienced the combination of sportiness in daily activities, I like it very much, it is clear that at 2000 km I change the oil in the front and rear differential, Now the system advises changing the oil at 7500 km. The car is cool, but requires maintenance, there was a system error 2 times, but after 20 minutes it disappeared on its own. Very smart car)@@akewl

You are so right about the sound! It`s allready the same with my 2019 330i. With my 330i at the Autobahn you can only use the comfort-setting for the engine to get rid of the fake sound!

You can deactivate the ASD with Sound control button.....I like the setup sport plus and sound control deactivated...is the most honest sound.

Nice ride to take it for a ride to Eastern Cape from Johannesburg via N3 and take it for an awesome gravel road experience and see how it can handle the Mud with that V8 engine

i dont know about you but i like the sound.
Once I made a reservation at Sixt for an M5 for a trip from Düsseldorf to Rome. The guy before me messed up the M5 so I had to settle for an X5M. At the time that was absolutely not what I wanted. I was wrong. The X5M is a perfect high speed cruiser. For long trips it beats any other M or 7 in my experience. For daily use however it doesn’t make much sense.
The high seating position is what makes this so enjoyable and easy to drive on the highway! Gets you to your location less tired than a low seating position I feel like.
I like the fact that we have the same G shock but unfortunately not the same care (a shame for me) ahah

why no ceramic brakes? or rear steer? its an x5m it should have the best tech...and ditch the GPFs they dont do anything except kill sound...we dont have them in the US thankfully...
When you compare X5M and X5 m60i in terms of suspension, do you mean that the m60i is more civilized when it has the msport adaptive suspension or the air suspension available? Thanks.

The stiffness may end up pushing folks to amg gle 63s, as a daily driver. Not as stiff due to the air suspension. And a better sounding engine
I was heavily considering getting this suv, what a disappointment that it's a fake exhaust noise in the cabin. Please tell me the US models are legit exhaust noise out of the back and not from the speakers
Test drove one and found that my 2023 GLA45 AMG felt roomier than this X5. How is it possible. I guess the interior design seats and all....strange. Not selling the AMG that is for sure, I bought it new 8 days ago. :), but looking for my Tiguan replacement for my wife.

This engine seems to struggle past 250kph compared to the pre lci. I think an rsq8 would be faster past 200kmh which definitely wasn’t the case with the pre facelift one.

I've had a lot of people ask me to disable Active Sound, it's very easy.
The only reason I picked my X3MC over the X5MC was because I liked the staggered wheels on the X3 better lol
At this point, any aftermarket parts needed to enhance the exhaust note of the car should not void the warranty.
They’re making it hard to pick a V8 when that B58 can make the same power. Worse getting the new cars make less and less sense too.
Not to mention its cheaper to own an i6 in every aspect insurance ect..
510 and 625 is not the "same power"

Bolt on for bolt on or exhaust mod on any S65 will make any B58 in an X5 stay in its lane very quickly.
You need to see a rolling run between them, it’s a joke how the V8 walks away.

@@Gokrin that’s your issue assuming I said mod for mod. I said it CAN make the same power not that it COME out the factory making 600hp.
These engines are making 400, 500 and 600hp with mods. 700, 800 if you really want to splash the cash.
The point is with a quiet V8 and pumped in audio the appeal is fading. Especially knowing the potential to void warranty with exhaust modification.

It’s still an annoying sound but at least it is the “real” sound amplified through the speakers. There are some other cars like the Cupra Formentor that simply pump a made-up sound through the speakers

@@nozopoke1782 And that's exactly what I meant. I just said that as you can see in the video (if you watched it), the X5 can also turn off the fake sound. So the Cupra is not the only one.

Dont like the newer X5 beamer look. The older generation of the X5 was waay better i.m.o. I personally would prefer the GLE 63. You just get more of a "car" in the merc in my opinion. Interior Engine and Sound.. And you dont have the Mild-Hybrid-Support and the "fake" Sound. In the merc, you get the 100% V8

M marketing is catering to people who just get it for the badge..who actually think the sound piping is good and makes the car go faster. They think when they press the red m button the car goes into some nitrous mode 1000hp... i know a guy like that... they dont care for M engines of old..or anything heritage M.
