+JenaLee Medearis Wow...I feel old. I covered Rusty as a sports editor during his high school years.

He was the best DE I ever saw play at UM. Now, I never saw Ted Hendricks play as it was before my time, but Rusty Medearis was the most disruptive guy I ever saw. Will never forget a Nebraska player asking which team was better after losing to Miami, Washington or Miami. He said, "Miami. Washington didn't have #98."

Nice too have him as a student at OHS. Represented the high school with great finesse.

Seriously dated his sister when I got divorced 12 years ago. Got to know him pretty well. Wish him the best always.

Ridiculous numbers in his first 2 seasons. He was a pass rush specialist. Relentless.

I shook Rusty's hand right before we jumped center at the start of a high school basketball game. My "big" hands felt like a child's in his banana hands! What a beast. Congrats, Rusty!

+Scott Woodcock I covered Rusty during high school. Yes, he was fairly large, but after his first year at college, he came back and wow, he was then huge in comparison

If Rusty played at a program with class such as Notre Dame, his knee wouldn't have gotten broken. He would have been a nfl hof as well.
