My dad got pulled over because he didn't see a speed limit sign the entire time I was happy my ex boyfriend wasn't with us, the cop was angry and seemed very trigger happy as it was, I was legitimately terrified that my dad would get shot. Who knows what would have happened if my ex was in the backseat.

My high school also has Turning Point USA as a club. The school staff tried to shut them down, but as a result, the school almost got sued for limiting free speech. My school also has a LGBTQ+ Support Club, sponsored by 1n10 (I forgot how its spelt). All we asked was to put up flags for one day, and then TPUSA put up their Blue Lives Matter flag, the school asked them to take it down, the school was once again almost sued for limiting free speech, and in the end, we had to take our flags down. We finally eventually got flag privileges back at some point and some kids wore them as capes to celebrate. This fricking kid from TPUSA starting putting Trump stickers all over them and shouted the f slur while running away.

i am a male electrical engineer and from what i have seen, sexism is a much bigger issue than racism in stem. i work for a fortune 100 company and the teams are very diverse in terms of ethnicity, but there are very few female engineers.

They've been especially active this year and having to deal with them on campus (and having pro-life shit plastered everywhere, in bathrooms, fetus demonstrations on the grass, and ""debates"") is just so tiring. I hate having to go somewhere every day and be at risk of having to defend my existence.

As we see in societies in general, systemic issues are often INTERPERSONAL as well, as they affect more that one individual. Bruh the "I get pulled over all the time" rebuttal makes me so mad. I grew up relatively poor. My family got a house in a middle class neighborhood on foreclosure. I drove a POS car that looked rickety as fuck, and I was getting pulled over ALL THE TIME for literally no reason. Seriously, the cops would pull me over and tell me "You weren't doing anything wrong, but your car looks suspicious." Basically, they meant that I looked too poor to be driving IN MY OWN NEIGHBORHOOD. A few years later, after the Philando Castile shooting, I realized how lucky I was. Yes, I was being discriminated because of my perceived class, but the cops would pull me over, see I was a young white female, and (while they were still assholes) THEY WENT EASY ON ME. Never once did I fear for my life significantly, never once did I have to worry that a cop would flash his gun, never once did I worry that I'd get asked if I was legal in this country. Realizing all of that was a turning point for me in understanding how white privilege actually works and how I benefitted from it. It's literally so easy to just fucking empathize with people and understand that some groups have experiences you have the privilege of never having to face. Doesn't mean it's not real because it hasn't happened to you. You should be fucking thankful it hasn't happened to you, and use your position of privilege to help others realize their own. I used to go to Emerson college when TPUSA was active on campus. They passed out pins saying “china kinda sus” with the among us character floating into space and obviously a LOT of students took offence. Emerson has a huge population of people from china and so Emerson took a stand against it and TPUSA couldn’t take no for an answer. They pulled up a whole ass BUS with a panel that showed “Emerson kinda sus” for probably 2 or so weeks, and bought out ads on the t saying the same thing for just about as long. I hope their chapter is ended by now because that shit was childish as hell 😭
they have an unchartered club on my campus and they tried to bring a speaker on campus to talk on “unlearning racism” but when you undo the double negative that’s just “learning racism”🤨. they did not get to have that event.

My dad got pulled over because he didn't see a speed limit sign the entire time I was happy my ex boyfriend wasn't with us, the cop was angry and seemed very trigger happy as it was, I was legitimately terrified that my dad would get shot. My high school also has Turning Point USA as a club. The school staff tried to shut them down, but as a result, the school almost got sued for limiting free speech. My school also has a LGBTQ+ Support Club, sponsored by 1n10 (I forgot how its spelt). All we asked was to put up flags for one day, and then TPUSA put up their Blue Lives Matter flag, the school asked them to take it down, the school was once again almost sued for limiting free speech, and in the end, we had to take our flags down.
We finally eventually got flag privileges back at some point and some kids wore them as capes to celebrate. This fricking kid from TPUSA starting putting Trump stickers all over them and shouted the f slur while running away.

Bruh the "I get pulled over all the time" rebuttal makes me so mad. I grew up relatively poor. My family got a house in a middle class neighborhood on foreclosure. I drove a POS car that looked rickety as fuck, and I was getting pulled over ALL THE TIME for literally no reason. Seriously, the cops would pull me over and tell me "You weren't doing anything wrong, but your car looks suspicious." Basically, they meant that I looked too poor to be driving IN MY OWN NEIGHBORHOOD. A few years later, after the Philando Castile shooting, I realized how lucky I was. Yes, I was being discriminated because of my perceived class, but the cops would pull me over, see I was a young white female, and (while they were still assholes) THEY WENT EASY ON ME. Never once did I fear for my life significantly, never once did I have to worry that a cop would flash his gun, never once did I worry that I'd get asked if I was legal in this country. Realizing all of that was a turning point for me in understanding how white privilege actually works and how I benefitted from it. It's literally so easy to just fucking empathize with people and understand that some groups have experiences you have the privilege of never having to face. Doesn't mean it's not real because it hasn't happened to you. You should be fucking thankful it hasn't happened to you, and use your position of privilege to help others realize their own.

my mom's soon to be ex husband (a methed out conspiracy theorist type dude) tried to pitch a social media/adblocker software to a bunch of right wing pundits to be spokespeople and got a face to face meeting with TinyFace McKirk himself. His proposal was such a mess that Charlie basically broke down everything about the idea that was unfeasible and essentially told him that he should just scrap the idea. Within a few days, the house was filled with rants about how Charlie Kirk is secretly a leftist trying to sabotage him and steal his ideas.
