Another day above dirt is always good... but I've wasted many years of my life away being miserable in terrible and dangerous factories. Never going back.. well.. unless they offer me a ridiculous amount of money I guess. Lol. But that'll never happen.
I live in Phoenix.. I spent the entire day recently calling and driving to every junkyard in town, and up to about an hour and a half away. NO ONE had XJs! Finally found 1 yard with 1 XJ in it. You are sitting on a pile of parts that many of us would love to be near. Wish you were closer or we had guys like you nearby. Keep these things alive, and stay safe brother!
I envy you-- I actually have always wanted to collect these, and part them out, and work on them--- and you've been doing it for years. I don't know how TH-cam knew to send me here, but it did.
My dude, take it easy out there. Take care of yourself, drink water. I’m classes now for auto tech, (wanna fully restore XJ’s) they’re making us take a career course. It’s mostly boring honestly but it did make me realize by having to do the course work that I don’t take care of myself well enough at 41. One of my ‘room for growth’ areas. Its a real factor I’m having to acknowledge as a professional looking for his 4th act in life.
Has anyone replaced all the plastic tiny hoses to rubber hoses instead so i don't have to worry about one cracking? I have a 91 XJ and when I bought it, a bunch of them are cracked. I wanted to see if anyone has replaced them to regular hoses?
What would stop me from manual swapping a wj 2wd. I hear the ECU needs a certain signal from the auto to run the engine, is this true? The check engine light isn't an issue for me
Hey Dex great video, I have a question on a build what would you recommend for a transmission and t-case for a 94 grand Cherokee with a 4 inch lift. Just a trail rig
Dex how do I buy parts from you? Also I can't afford the wj knuckle swap if i have to get new rims and tires. Please help me. I'll pay for what I need. The knuckles, calipers, maybe a drilled rotor, so I can run the 89 xj hub and get new axles. Front driver broke and shredded my knuckle. Best time to fix these not too great brakes. Would I need the master cylinder and brake booster? I have nowhere to compete. I can't pay 6,000 for brakes. I have to fight for places to even offroad here. Appreciate any help. @dex scrap yards near me haven't called back. Hope they find me a 99 04 grand cherokee.
You said the video was filmed in late August. The timestamp on the video says 8 months ago.. lol I'm sure you just didn't post it until January-ish... just thought that was funny
What a shame - the Death of a Proud Bird - White 2 Door with the best rims Jeep ever made. That motor sounds tight - tell that buyer ‘beggars can’t be choosers’ - worth it’s weight in pristine headliners.
Bring the boom all the way in, tilt the forks down and use the boom to push it out.
Pushed rear end deeper. Tried.
Really dex, I think it would be amazing to hangout with you for a day. I'd love it.
Same
If you are having a bad day, always remember that you could always be clocking in at a factory job. 😔😔. That is a reality check ✅✅✅✅
There is no such thing as a bad day. Every day is a good day if you wake up in the morning. Just some days are better than others. 😉

This channel is as legit as that engine stand man.

Maybe do a video on how to remove a engine from a jeep? Think that would be a good one!
I know start the spend a day with dex club.
SIDE THOUGHT: do you use used CPS's sometimes?
Good work like the vids. Still waiting on that turbo vid 😂 keep grinding
You should never swerve to avoid an animal. You will always end up doing more damage if you do.
Very true

How do I get some much needed parts from you. I'd love you support the deadliest TH-camr

What’s the deal with that fan on the front of the engine? Call me dumb, it’s ok. It looks too small and the wrong spot for the regular cooling fan
