- In today’s tutorial, I’ll show you how to make a bling phone case step-by-step! With some rhinestones and adhesive, you can transform a plain phone case into a beautiful sparkly one. This is a quick and easy project (much faster than making a rhinestone tumbler) and a great introduction to rhinestoning for beginners.

What do you set this with that keeps the shine? I tried to use modge podge spray & the thicker paint on kind too but it makes my diamonds so dull
Don’t set it with anything!! The glue is strong enough to hold the diamonds on without needing any sort of seal on top. Any type of seal will fill in the facets in the diamonds and they won’t shine anymore! As long as your technique and your glue are both great, you shouldn’t have any issues losing stones 😊

I'd like to know.....must the phone case be plastic? Does rhinestone adhere to silicone?
That’s a great question! I think it would depend on the glue and I’ve never tried it with GemTac. Silicone is typically difficult to adhere things to, for example you can’t stick epoxy/resin to it so I wouldn’t be confident in GemTac’s ability to stick to it. But you could always test it out on a small area of something silicone!
Do you feel like it's suggested to have a case with a little bit of a lip to protect the crystals?
Yes that would probably be a good idea if you can find one! I think the most important thing is to make sure the surface material is something your glue will stick to - lots of cases have a silicone or soft touch finish on them and I think GemTac may not be the best choice for those. But E6000 would work well!
